During a Game of WvW... With TURRETS...
turrets its just good for low player who dont know how turrets work
if the thief go away from the turrets range and spam ranged skill u will be stomped
if turrets dont get some buff or bug fix are useless in wvw, every engy run SD or nade/cond or bunker

My healing turret has saved me countless times. It’s my guardian angel, no lie. I also use the thumper turret often in my bomb build and it has came through for me on more than one occasion.
Thumper turrets needs knockdown not knockback. Then it would be really useful with bombs. Otherwise it just pushes outside your range and your group gets annoyed.

They have done so quite frequently. To be completely honest though, killing someone through the use of turrets (notice the plural here) is usually attributed to their own lack of judgement and/or skill. I currently do not consider it a testament to my own abilities if someone falls to me with their use. If you are stupid enough to remain engaged within their range, then you obviously were asking for it; this usually applies to overzealous thieves trying for a BS/HS combo. Granted there is some skill in using them as a means to counter stealth by following the projectiles fired just before stealth occurred. Overall, if someone dies by turrets it was their own fault for not disengaging.

I agree, I use it for the blast on water/fire mostly. Other than the stun break, I don’t use it as intended I would say. I like Rifle, BK, and Elixir B so TT really helps make up some blast I lose by taking rifle over p/s….in my power bombs build at least.

This would be detrimental to my PvP build. I have a full bar of turrets, and use Accelerant Packed Turrets to shove people off point. Thumper turret is one of two launches I have, and the best one at that, since it isn’t canceled by an enemy moving behind or to the side of me.

Other than healing turret saving me 500 billion times, one time I had thrown down a supply drop on a warrior as I was getting downed. The warrior also went down. Must not have been a very smart warrior, but the flame turret that came with the supply drop was the only reason I won that downed-fight and rallied.
This was a while ago, so I was pretty bad as well.

I think we have plenty of knockbacks (especially if you have a full bar of turrrets with APT! lol) that changing Thumper to a knockdown would not be that detrimental.

I disagree. Almost no players in WvW have any experience against turrets at all. Most players do not lack any skill against turrets, they completely lack knowledge about turrets. It is not a lack of judgement, but a lack of experience. This general lack of knowledg may disappear one day, but for now, the lack of mobility limits turret use in WvW to almost nil, that no one has any open field battle experience with them.
