So im trying to make the most bad kitten big black Norn engineer in all of Tyria. Ive decided on Magitech amour cause it was practically made for an engi. But im having issues with the dye combination. Magitech armour has 4 dye slots per piece of gear, so i was thinking either abyss, black, or midnight ice (not sure which is the darkest), then celestial dye, then gold dye, and an undecided 4th dye. What gear/dye do you run with on your engi?

Magitech + abyss and wrath = awesome

Magitech + Midnight ice (gives more texture than abyss) main, charcoal for the detail, steel for the metal work and orangespring for the highlights (also matches the ascended backblades and predator rifle)

Just posted it on the other thread. I run a mix of Abyss for the edges, Iron for the leather stuff, and Midnight Yew for the rest. Never underestimate colours like Midnight Yew.

If you really insist on going all black you can just Abyss all of it, if you want some contrast, you can choose Pitch, Graphite, Iron or Black instead of Midnight Yew.

Abyss, celestial, antique gold and scarlet.
Charcoal/iron and icing worked well as cheap substitutes for abyss and celestial.

Mullberry, Gold, Shiver Sky and Abyss

I use Midnight Ice and Celestial for everything.

So that.

I believe I use Molten, Flare, and abyss, I’ll have to check later.

Check out charred dye, i love it, especially with parts of the magitech armor.

I like celestial for the metallic colors.

midnight yew for the trim pieces and lights. (I just like greens)

midnight ice for the black.

I like simple.

My current look and I love it.

White, silver for the chains and metal stuff, midnight fire for the dark parts and I think the blue stuff is seafoam.. but not sure about that one. Goes nicely with the mystic pistols

I wear mostly Magitech armor, but for dyes use a mix of ash, black, midnight fire, and amber. Works really well with the Predator It’s one of the best looks that I have more my Engi
