ELIXIR X - let us choose between effect

And that’s why no one uses elixir X.

Elixirs B, C, R, and S don’t have any randomness to them. And for the toolbelts of those only Throw Elixir B has a random effect, the other three don’t. Getting a random effect is hardly a theme of elixirs, it’s a hindrance that Anet randomly put on half of them for no good reason.

Historically it’s the other way around.
Elixirs were designed to have a huge RNG component, both on the utility & TB, and it took quite some complaining from us to remove it on most elixirs. The utility ones that are left luckily only have limited boon-rng.
Anyways, there will never be a simple fix for elixir X because both transforms are situational useful, and the game does not support utility-personalization.
And since nothing about it is horribly broken, you should learn to accept its existence…
Just run mortar. #5 comes with some synergy to the alchemy line as well. Or do it like me and use X primarily for the moa (and a last-resort oh-feces button).
For Zerg Fight Elixir X (both transmutes) can be usefull stabilty and many HP.
So there need to be RNG because these are to elites of other Classes.
