Ok so what I am talking about is if it were at all possible to keep your cursor visible while right or left clicking to move your camera, it would greatly benefit someone who prefers to use ground based AoEs (Grenades) tell exactly where he is throwing without having to let go of his mouse button and just strafe… I dunno about you but I wouldnt mind being able to just turn my camera and throw where my mouse is on the screen. Possibly just put an option for a crosshair for manual ranged targeting that acts like mouse targeting. Would love it!

Take a look at that: http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/zy752/combat_mode_02_beta/

Would have been a great solution, but has been declared illegal by ANet for now. I still hope there is a way to make controls like this work.

If you did not turn on fast ground targeting.

it already works that way, kinda.
try to right-click hold at the center and whenever you use a ground target skill, do not let go of RMB and the green targeting area basically becomes your crosshair.

just double tap the skill to activate it.

Instead of making the cursor disappear, make it semi-transparent. Would that work?

Or just make the option togglable.

Not a good solution, but I find it works well enough for me:

Get in the habit of always returning your mouse to the center of the screen before mouse turning. Your cursor remains there even when you can’t see it. It isn’t an exact science, but it makes it much easier to ballpark things like grenade tosses while on the move.

It also makes it easier to find your cursor when you release mouse turn to do more precise ground targeting, especially in an effects rich environment (which, lets face it, only takes one Guardian or Elementalist to make finding your cursor a total PITA during a fight).

Like I said, not really a solution, but good enough if you get used to it.
