I know there was a range change on Acid Bomb, but the range still feels a bit shorter than it should normally be. I used this to create certain distances in fights, and it feels like the range is bugged. You used to be able to make little leaps to kite around, but now you can’t. Range should be at 600 to make the leaps or to kite around/mobility.
Not affected by swiftness anymore.
Well … Good thing is now you can’t leap off yourself from cliffs or other things …. which happends a few times to me … for example ac at kholar … almost landed in the water …

I did acid bomb before the patch without swiftness, and it should be longer than what it is now. Unless it isn’t affected by Mecha Legs, but even so without that trait either, I was able to do the leaps that it should be.

This change feels horrible. I used to love turning 180 degrees to fire off my backwards leap and do another 180 degree spin to keep going in the direction I want. With the range on this thing now it’s probably not even worth bothering to do anything but run. This was my favorite part of the elixir gun and one of the main things I enjoyed about the engineer between jump shot and rocket boots.
Please revert this mobility nerf it’s extremely unnecessary. I realize it was just a bug fix but it’s a bug fix from something that’s been that way as long as I remember so i’d like to see an extra 100 or so range added to it so it’s useful again.

This, at least at 50 more range to make it 600 range.

No, mainly you use it to great a huge gap between yourself or the enemy. Or you use it for High Aoe Cleave. It’s not better as it is now, the range feels too shorter than it is normally without swiftness.

I miss the Swiftness-boosted distance, but I’m glad as all hell that Cripple and Chill no longer… well, cripple it. It’s consistent.
I feel the same way as OP.
I can confirm that before this new patch Acid Bomb was already not affected by Swiftness, so even after the bugfix the range shouldn’t be getting shorter.
But now whenever I use Acid Bomb, I’m like “…that’s it?”
pls anet do sonething about it. it really cripples the gameplay aswell as the skill floor

Your supporting and promoting a nerf to a skills mobility to suit an insignificant and irrelevant personal need for yourself? Sorry, but when you support a nerf for a selfish intention, no one will support anything you have to say. Particularly when everything your suggesting as a support for a nerf, can already be done.
It feels weird but I guess it’s correct this way. I mean, we are engineers – we NEVER had no swiftness while using that skill. So ofc it seems shorter. But maybe because of the fact that this skill was balanced WITH the swiftness, it should get some range by default? Hm …

Intended change though – anet removed all influence from swiftness, superspeed, cripple and chill from movement skills.

You dont drop your bundle because you’re in the air.
It will simply prompt with a “Cannot switch weapon” or something like that. You will stay in Elixirgun, but you cancel the jump nonetheless.
Look just try instead of trying to punch holes in this, it works great and does exactly what you say you want.
