Elixir Gun and Alchemical Tinctures (Bug)
Alchemical Tinctures is supposed to remove conditions for consumed or thrown elixirs. That means only the elixir utility skills (elixir h, r, s, b, c, u and x). But many engineers are requesting to get this trait changed to condition remove on each elixir skill in game. Would give perfect synergy between Alchemical Tinctures and Inversion Enzyme (the new elixir gun trait). And you are right, a skill called “Elixir F”, but that isn’t tagged as an elixir just makes no sense. ^^
So pls Anet, change this!
I still don’t get why it wasn’t reported anywhere, though, especially if this change WAS intended.
This was something they specified during the core specialization stream (engineer’s EG benefitting from elixir’s traits) and it was like that until, some day, they changed it.
Because it isn’t a bug. "throwing or consuming "
Working as intended.
And it never did work that way.
Also, there was LOADS of stuff talked about in the live stream that never made it live… Que the T-T over coated bullets :-(

Let me get straight to the point: EG#4, #5 and EG Toolbelt Skill don’t remove an extra condition anymore. Prior to the last patch they used to remove an extra condition due to the interaction with Alchemical tinctures.
No, they never removed an extra condition. That trait has never effected those skills in any way since the traits existence.
The trait has specifically stated it only effects consumed and tossed elixirs, specifying it doesn’t work with EG.
Due to a bug this no longer occurs, as Healing Mist, Acid Bomb and Super Elixir do not remove conditions.
No bug
Also, since we’re here, can we pretty please make Elixir F an elixir aswell (compensating, of course, with a CD increase)? It already is a pretty meh/useless skill, let’s make it interesting.
Yeah, it kind of should be an elixir since it is in the name and all. As it misses half the time, I see no need to increase the CD.
It did work that way. You just disnt notice.
I know its not a proof, but check gw2skill: when you check skillfacts of acid bomb and super elixir while having alchemical tinctures slotted it says “remove 1 condition” (it says it 2 times for super elixir, since it already removes 1). The same applies to healing mist.
I may be wrong, but the most reliable Gw2 builder says I’m not, so.. you know, it can be wrong too, but what are the chances?

EDIT: I should add that the trait interaction with EG was introduced after June 23 patch.

The builder was wrong…. It still is in places.
Trust me. There was nothing to notice. It never happened. I know what happened in the patch. It isn’t bugged. Go to sleep.

I am not sure “proof” means what you think it means. All you did was link to an inaccuracy in the builder. It is far from the first time that, or any other builder has been inaccurate.
Evidence would be a video of it working in game, which doesn’t exist, because it never worked in game.
Im prety sure that in game EG #5 had same description as builder did it remove aditional condition im not sure,im sure that moratars #5 even itdid have same description in game, didnt remove any condi.
And btw healing mist needs a bottle opener animation, since you are not drinking it or throwing it ,right now it looks like you are farting that kitten elixir ,how that can heal i have no idea…

I went into the assumption that this trait was working on E-gun and would definitely sell it as near-mandatory kit with HGH traited, however with the way it is working, I don’t find it as worth it, granted though, the Might obtained from E-gun #4 and #5 is indeed sweet.

I’m looking at you, Rev..
