I noticed that you can stomp downed enemies while using Elixir S. Is this intentional?

Yes, and you can Rez allies using Elixir S too.

It’s called safe-stomping
Various classes can perform it with various skills.
On high level PvP safe-stomping & safe-rezzing become extremely important.

If your allies go down they should get covered by stealth & if the enmy goes down you should either cleave hm to death with aoe’s or initiate the stomp & pop your safe-stomp mechanic.

Mesmers can utilize portals, thiefs can utilize stealth (not that safe) or shadowstep (tricky to use but much safer), warriors their stances, eles in mystform, & pretty much the rest with a combination of stability & at least protection. If you don’t have anything but stability, cleave the target or let your more stomp-capable allies take over the job.

Stomping or rezzing roots you and leaves you highly vulnerable, so you turn yourself into a huge target for the enemy team.

Elixir S is actually one of the stronger stomp abilities since it renders us invulnerable to all forms of dmg & cc. Only already applied condis keep ticking on us. This is one of the reasons why engis are good supporters. With the stealth on the toolbelt, we can perform both safe-stomps & safe-rezzes with a single utility-slot.

Just one tipp aside, experienced PvP’ers will try to stealth downed allies when they can, so don’t use your downed AA unless you are
a) alone on the point
or
b) are sure that you can down your target
or
c) can interrupt important channels in temple of the storm or spirit watch

No! You can’t start ressing or stomping during other invuln skills. With engi you can start the ress/stomp after you have the invuln on while on the other classes you can only stomp/ress before you put the invuln on. You can’t ress ppl while in mist form if you didn’t ress him before you casted mist form. If ele interrupts it’s ressing/stomping it has to wait till the invuln ends.

Also just noticed that OP’s acc is 2 years old.
Do you want to tell us that you never have seen a safe-stomping engi in your 2 years?
Or is it just your salt about recent ele nerfs?
How about we question safe-stomping on mystform as well, m8?

You must have taken some serious beating from engineers over this beta weekend. You made 2 separate threads demanding nerfs to skills in which you describe their functionality completely incorrectly,

What’s worse, all your post suggest you play a D/D ele, worse then that, you demand eles are under powered, need a buff, and demand a special “ele only” amulet.

In my opinion, you are not offering reasonable complaints, your offering bias demands that only favor you. That is no way to go about having a balance discussion.

Bad as mist form? Engineers cannot gain might, regeneration, vigor, and a 66% movement speed buff, simply by going into their form, like elementalist can.

Geez, now that you make me look at it, they sure need to nerf mist form.

It uses an insanely powerful defensive utility in place of guaranteeing a stomp, it’s fine in my opinion, you give up the defensive cabailities of the skill in order to get a stomp.

WOW! Good job at stalking me [dancingmonkey.4902]. FYI and just for you(don’t tell anyone shhh…). I am gonna play revenant when the expansion comes and i couldn’t care less about ele. Okay. I didn’t know that other classes have broken invuln skills compared to mist form cause I thought that every invuln skills are just for survivability but apparently that’s not the case.

Edit. I would personally make the concept of invuln skill different as you can see when you go stalk me more.
