There is a little trick you can do with Elixir X, I won’t explain how to trait into it to make it better, but here is how it works.

Weapon swaps have a 1 second CD-
Elixir X has 2 cast times-
have a NORMAL weapon equipped, I used rifle-
During the second cast of Elixir X swap to a bundle kit, flame thrower, elixir gun.

you are basically switching weapons at .5 seconds
since weapon swaps/skills are on a 1 second CD ( you kit WILL NOT SWITCH to a jug or tornado) Instead you will have the elixir X buff and the weapon bundle of your choice..

life with no buffs 17k
life with Elixir X 35k

There are ways to make this even stronger, but you can figure that out.

I think this is a known bug. I’ve reported it myself at least once. I would avoid using it because it falls pretty clearing into the “not intended” box. It does make elixir X a lot more useful however.

Doesn’t that mean you’re locked into a weapon bundle? I mean, as a bunker, Elixir’s X normal skills are actually quite good — you have so many knockdowns and knockbacks. We have no kit that is worth using over that.

That said, I’m curious how much damage grenades do under Elixir X.

I use it for support with elixir gun mainly.

I tried it with grenades for the hp/stability, but unfortunately the grenadier trait doesn’t work with it.

remember halfway during the second cast. you should try it again. I am at work so I can test the grenade kit =(

No, I get the trick to work fine. I’m just saying grenadier doesn’t work. You still throw only 2 grenades with a maximum range of 1200 for some reason.

This, really. Imo Elixir X should just give stabillity + health buff for 15-20 seconds or simply stability + protection.

On another note: does it ever actually transform you into the whirlwind? Because that’s never happened for me, ever. My engineer basically carries around the warrior elite in a bottle.

It happens very rare about 1/10 is whirlwind.

And that seems like a nice trick! Definitly gonna try it once, but won’t use in battle. Too much thinking involved while killing my ene,ies.

Use a keyboard macro, many computers these days come with software pre-installed for custom keybind macros, also very easy to find the software online. Just have it record a successful “interrupt,” and you’ll be able to do it whenever you want by pressing a single button. That’s what I do.

Well,
I am doing this with elixir gun but instead of buff i am transforming into rampage. BTW – with flamethrower i am getting tornado all the time, which i can exit and still have this small short buff.

I do it like this:
Press elixir X
almost imm. press flamethrower/elixir gun skill.

What am i doing wrong?

Ok nvm, it works, but still exploit (small one). It would be great to choose or to change eX into more useful skill (its quite useful now hehe)
