Guild Wars 2

So I hadn’t played GW2 in quite some time (2 years?), and I was mostly playing Reaper. Now my attention is turning back to my engineer.

What I happened to forget is.. I went through the trouble of making a full celestial set. EVERYTHING is celestial except one of my weapons. So my question is.. are there any really good celestial builds out there? annnd is it ever wise to use a FULL set of it?

You might be able to create some kind of hybrid deal for wvw. Base it on the cele hammer meta, tweak hammer and trinket stats as desired. As long as you’re running hgh, and aren’t all about the ‘optimal’, I don’t see a do-or-die reason to buy or force grind insignias to switch the stats.

On that note, you can just switch ascended armor/weapon stats in mystic forge. So if you decide you don’t like it, wiki the recipe and you can have new ascended armor for like as little as 18g if you are patient, and don’t want to make any of it.

Personally I just use celestial armor and switch out weapons and trinkets depending on if I want power or condition. Don’t know that there’s any time in WvW or PvE where full celestial is optimal, but it’s perfectly viable, sure.

i hear druids do pretty well on celestial.

In WvW and Open world, you Celestial gear will do the job just fine. They will give you decent dps and good surviability. Won’t be optinal, but for someone getting back in the game, that will give you a change as you tackle the new maps, which are a bit more difficult than the old ones. Nobody really care about dungeon anymore and they are really easier than ever so why not.

For fractal and raid on the other end, it won’t work. I guess you could do a celestial scrapper tank and it could work for the first 2 boss. But other than that. You could probably use your celestial gear for low level fractal like until 30. But I wouldn’t go farther with that gear If I was you, unless you find a bunch of friend or guildmate that don’t mind.
