Engineer Demand List for HOT
Demands? Really? Anyway.
1. Hammer should be great, but I would like to see it replace kits then. Otherwise it should just utility, similar to current Engi weapons.
2. Ele has no great elites… I am happy with crate.
3. Hobosacks please.
Yea demands might be a bit… unfitting, but here is my wishlist lol
1. Hobosacks ( a given)
2. Hammer beeing a kitten damage centric melee weapon with as much utility as rifle
, pistol and shields offer but doesnt skimp out on finishers, cc and\or combo fields
3. Some new engineer themed armor skins\back items\hammer\rifle\pistol\shield skins
4. A rocket boots “freeze after landing” bug fix if possible cause this really bugs me a lot
5. A ranged kit that uses targeting like a “normal” ranged weapon to have an alternative
to the grenade kit and a “replacement” for the firearms while using a hammer to
be able to fall back for a breather or to heal here and there and keeping up the DPS
regardless. Nades are nice and without a doubt powerfull… but my fingers would be
thankfull.
6. (100% not gonna happen) Replacing the e-gun 5 light combofield with a water field
7. (hopefully a given) making the specialisation mechanic equally engaging as the
“vanilla toolbelt”
1. A new class mechanic for the specialization that is either very easy and intuitive to handle, with great synergy to the class (maybe a energy bar like revenant or initiative like thief) OR a complext class mechanic that brings similar rewards and complexity as our current toolbelt. Please don’t let it be permanent drones or other AI crap.
2. High DpS on Hammer, along with similar CC capabilities as rifle. If we go into melee, we better come prepared for it
3. Given that it’s most probable that we loose the tools line and gadgets as utility, the new trait and utilities better come with great synergy so the gadget-replacement doesn’t end as our new least favored utilities. Also, most important: give a trait that works similar to speedy kits, else you will see nothing but 0/2/0/2/0 perma-vigor builds that you’ll need to nerf eventually again, since you want to avoid perma-vigor for any class.
4. rework mortar into a mobile kit / Get rid oft the RNG factor on Elixir X.
5. If we also going to loose toolkit, the hammer better has a pull and a block.
An elite with a 40-60sec CD would be nice. I only take crate because there isn’t really a viable alternative.

With the hammer skills I really hope that it contains the necessary utility to stand on its own without needing another kit. Like I really hope that if I am trying for an in your face melee build I don’t still need toolkit for a block and gap closer.
- Customize the back skins for each kit – CUS I CAN DREAM!!!
- Hammer please please please dont be terrible! Colin do us justice!
- If we lose some of our base skills when we specialize please don’t take away something I love… i dont know what but i can see this being a deal breaker.
- Elite Kit… cus it would be epic!!! some kit with an ok auto of whatever but the 4 skills all have like 90 second cooldowns to do some crazy stuff like major part buff, giant projectile block, giant aoe, giant chill. it would be awesome!
1. Up the Wackiness factor with Gadgets. When i first startd he game, i loved the idea of engineers because they were a bit wacky and creative. Overchaged shot, Rocketboots, Oil slick, and lets not forget (battering ram ad mines) <3.
2. Toggable Weapon attachments. I suggested this years ago but it seems no one really liked the idea. But When others have weapon swapping, we could have something like a scope attachment for rifles and a Rubber bullet mode for pistols. Scopes would turn it into a long range weapon, rubber bullets would make attacks bounce instead of pierce, at decreased damage ofc.
3. Multi Purpose Drones I saw that we were getting drones, but… Im hoping they arent just dps adding drones. It would be nice to get some Team support drones that grant boons, healing or something like that. Borderlands the presequel did it right.
Make mortar a kit with a cooldown that acts like the old juggernaut with stab and -50% movement speed but mobile! Also allow it to damage structures in WvW.
You forgot to ask for a chopper and large amount of unmarked gems.
