Hey everyone,

I was thinking, is the Engineer/Scrapper inspired from the Alchemis class from Dungeons and Dragons? I think I remember a interview with a few devs saying that certain professions are inspired from classes in D&D. Like Guadian being taken from the Cleric for example. Thoughts?

Never heard about that, however, Engi has plenty of references to the Engineer from tf2, for example, Engies will say sometimes “Dispeneser activated”, refering to Engi tf2 Dispenser, despite we have a turret, not a dispenser :P

D&D is basically the common ancestor of every single RPG game in history. Don’t see how it have to be specifically related just to engies, really.
