I threw up a post in the Suggestions section that proposed a stop gap solution for the aesthetic of the engineer gadgetry. Since the dev team is so busy with everything else, I suggested simply making the backpack model from the kits able to be hidden (similar to the way back slot items are able to be hidden). The kits and turrets and all that are designed in a way that doesn’t mesh with the way all players are designing their characters and I think that hiding the backpack is a small change that would help that problem a great deal.
