Engineer PvE little help :)

Hey guys i am new to PvE when Engi is the subject and i would like to know if ishould go for power builds like zerk ones or if condition engi with granades or bombs for exemple can shine in PvE too

If so wich stats should i am on armor/weaps/trinket?

Last thing if its not to much to ask could you all post the current build you guys use for PvE and why that choice?

You can use pretty much any build in PvE as long as it’s put together well. You’ll hear the praises of Zerker gear because it puts out the most damage, but I find that boring and even if you’re a perfect dodger you’re going to end up on the floor once in awhile. I don’t like that either.

Here’s mine. It’s set up for Bombs or Grenades, I usually use the bombs but in certain situations (most high level fractals) grenades are better. The Explosives tree would turn into II, VIII, XI if you changed to grenades. Or V, VIII, XI if your group is already going to cap bleed (just watch what the bleed stacks are for the first few mobs). Of course Bomb Kit would be swapped for Grenade Kit.

Sometimes I switch Flamethrower for something I might need in a specific situation. I chose the hybrid stats because I really like condition damage but I feel it has too many weaknesses in PvE. With the hybrid build I have, my conditions are still okay but I don’t hit like a wet noodle without them.

The sigils and runes are whatever, the sigil is on the ascended weapon I use for WvW so I don’t bother changing that, the other sigil doesn’t matter use something you like there. I have just been experimenting with the Sigil of Luck and it’s kind of fun. Also the runes are just so I get +50% condition duration, allowing the basic pistol bleed (which sucks) to suck a little less. It stacks way better at 3s than 2s. I’m sure there are other ways to do this, and other rune sets could be used here as well.
