Engineer and Magic Find
Kits have their own weapon damage value, regardless of which weapon is worn below it.
However, it retains stat bonuses of the equipped weapons.
Yes, you would get all the bonuses, however I’m unsure whether or not you would be able to do enough damage to with the flamethrower to tag enemies in time.

You do in fact do enough damage, if you’re quick enough, to tag all the enemies in time with a FT. ESPECIALLY if you’re in a full party helping you tag everything I do eet erry day!

So this would be the best way to maximize my MF as far as weapons go?

Yes. Do note however that you don’t have to have the on kill stacking sigil on a rifle, you can put it on a pistol and then switch that pistol to a different one once you have 25 stacks.

You mean switch to something in my inventory?
I figured I’d just put it on a rifle and them the two crests on two pistols so I had easy switching variety with a keyboard click rather than inventory swap.

But engineers can’t weapon swap, you have to go to your inventory to swap them regardless.
Also, even if they could, you can share a weapon across the weapon swap if it’s in the same hand. If one hand is empty but it is filled with a one-handed weapon in the other weapon set, the other weapon will be used while on that set. So, one set could be made with the 2 Medallion pistols, and the other with just the Sigil pistol in the main hand, and you’d get both.
But that’s irrelevant for engineer anyway.
