Hi,
I have fast queation. Can engi tanking vg/gor? And which stat you reccomend. My idea is viper gear with some celestial or other toughness gear to have 1401 tough.
Weap: p/p
Utilities: bomb, granade kit, slick shoes, mortar
Traits: explosives, firearms, scrapper

My opinion of cons: cc break(slick shoes), high dmg, group heal(HT), on VG seeker control(glue bomb, big o bomb..)

what do you do if you can’t dodge anymore? and why would you want to tank in first place? o.o

short answer – yes, everyone can tank. the questions is how useful it is tough.

I don’t need tank much, but my guild missing someone who can tank. And sorry, but other proffesions I have only for ugly pvp daily and as a bank. (If I see someone tell me: "can you relog to tempest..? " I leaving squad instantly) so I can tank only as a engineer

Yes, engis can tank. Here’s a guide. Just be aware that a chrono tank is still probably the most popular choice:

Engineer can absolutely tank both VG and Gorseval. When I’ve done it I just throw on a couple rabid rings and make sure everyone else is below my toughness, and spec into scrapper or inventions.

Note that on VG engineer can execute the tank role just fine, but generally you want your ranged damage dealers on the lightning team, and if you have an engineer tanking it may be tough to come up with a teamcomp that includes 5 ranged on lightning. The VG dps check is pretty low anyway though, so it shouldn’t really be a huge problem.

On gorseval engineer tank is extremely good. It is probably the best tank you can have besides druid since most gorseval comps run an engineer anyway.

If your druid isn’t using tons of toughness gear, you should be able to tank with 1005 toughness. As I already said – “everyone” can tank, the question is just “how good / useful” it is.

Right now Rev is probably the best tank for VG, but since it’s not a dps race at all – it really doesn’t matter too much. Rev just can withstand / absorb the active red field damage when you have to lure him there to prevent bad green field spawns after break bar phase.

For Gorsy it doesn’t really matter since you stack anyway on top of each other. So druid is the best for the smalles dps loss. But again, anyone with decent heal / block can tank with 1005 toughness.
