Engineer tips.
If you haven’t already, learn how to do the healing turret combo and easy ways to rotate blast/leap finishers into available water fields (for pvp). I don’t have anything for the PvE front though xD
You can throw grenades/shoot mortar behind you using the look behind button.
You can stow the kit right after using elixir gun 4 to cancel the leap. Can also be used to cancel the aftercasts of other kit skills.
Many aftercasts from the hammer skills can be canceled by swapping to a kit and stowing it again.
Stealth gyro doesn’t put your elite on cooldown if you swap it out before it expodes.
Toolbelt skills and kit skills don’t share cooldowns so you can swap utilitys arround to get all sorts of benefits before engagement.
Aiming static discharge in action camera mode is a thing.
Toolkit pull doesn’t always work how its supposed to. It helps a bit if you jump during the pull.
Never play pvp without alchemy and scrapper.

I’ll start with a healing tip
if you’re using medkit & egun, swap to the med during the time your super elixir flies through the air for 33% more impact heal when it lands.
When stacking might/stealth, dropping Big Old Bomb and Orbital Strike gives you just enough time to drop a fire/smoke bomb before they blast.
Also, you can use Acid Bomb to reach some cool places that you can’t otherwise, bind About Face somewhere you can reach quickly
If you ever use Rifle, remember to give yourself some stability just before using Overcharged Shot. That way you cancel the self pushback, and gain precious moments for extra burst.
that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

Oi, dude.
Just a few tips for your future PvP runs.
Scrapper is a lot about combos. Learn those and apply accordingly to the situations.
Hammer auto-attacks stack might (for each target you land your hit to), so you can get serious dps increase just by doing it.
All hammer skills might be used both offensively and defensively:
- Electro whirl provides very decent damage and reflects projectiles.
- Rocket chrage might be used both to chase\to disengage
- Shock shield blocks all incoming attacks (still beware of revenants), but beside that does decent damage and applies 10% vulnerability (!!!), so you might want to use it before your main burst.
- Thunderclap dazes, does some damage and it is electro field. Same good for offensive & defensive goals. I even remember myself saving downed opponent in horrible 1 vs 3 situation by “Thunderclap + Toss Elixir X” combination.
Acid bomb of elixir gun is also great for retreating + does solid damage and provides blast combo finisher.
Switch between Adaptive Armor and Final Salvo trait depending on composition of opposing team.
Beware of using elixir B if you are fighting necromancers.
Something else I can’t remember right now.
Anyways, good luck and have fun with the engineer !
It’s Irish for, “you’re kittened”.
Stealth gyro doesn’t put your elite on cooldown if you swap it out before it expodes.
What exactly do you mean by that? How do you swap the stealth gyro out?
Thanks

He means if you activate the gyro and detonate gyro replaces the original skill, you can still change it to another skill if you are out of combat. This also works for turrets iirc.
As far as other tips go, I’ll keep it general:
Know your fields, especially water know your blasts and leaps. In PvE fire, water, and smoke are the most important. In PvP water and lightning are the most important.
In pvp a good tip is that rune of lyssa is really strong against certain comps.
In pve a good tip is that the bomb kit skill from streamlined kits is an aoe pull. This can be helpful but more often than not you notice it because it did something bad, so be careful with it.

Definitely this ^
If you’re running streamlined kits for speed, don’t use bomb-kit to trigger it if you’re trying to skip mobs. Elixir gun can be a pain for this, too, ever since Anet made the glue trigger combat. I’ve no idea why they did that.
I`ve been playing Engineer for few weeks now and the class has insane amounts of Combo Fields.
An example would be Swiftness stacking with Thunderclap + Orbital Strike (twice) + Elixir 4 + Flamethrower 2. I`m getting 36-40sec of Swiftness.
Same can be achieved with Napalm (Flamethrower 4).
You can also start casting Rocket Charge swap to Elixir Gun and swap it back at last leap to stop the jump (and after cast).
