Engineer underpowered tpvp
I personaly play this build. Sometimes 1v3 without problems. Confusion + Retaliation are crucial.

There is no gear equipped – i`m curious to see if you either pick might based def amulett to gimp your conditions or you pick condi based def amulet to gimp your retaliation.
Your dps with this build sucks either way – so i assume its played out as bunker in which case youd have to compare with def guard..
In comparison to def guard your engineer has a reasonable amount of crowd control and a reasonable amount of blocks this is the area where you can keep up with guard.
Your engineer build is waaaay worse though in thoughness ( simply because guard is heavy armor) your build does not have any kind of stability or other ways to get finishers/heals of whatsoever and most importantly you only got 1 measly condition remove which means that condi classes will take you out reasonably easy without ever getting close to you (cuz you cant apply offensive slows). Guard can also get BETTER AoE healing without spending that many trait points. Guard has more and more reliable protection buffs which is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL 4 any def build .You also have NO stun breaker whatsoever and if you get one you lose retaliation<3 not a big loss though imo i`d kick out elixir for rocket boots (which will directly blast you off your capped point <3 can get elixir S as well – will also lead to losing your point
the other eng stunbreakers dont work properly for some reason and cant be used until the stun is pretty much over anyway<3 what a gr8 profession) Only other thing you got going for you is poison.
In the end you keep up in 2 areas but lose in too many others
Ohh and btw i play a similair build – simply because its the least crappy.

I use Soldier Amulet, condition builds are sux and healing power almost doesnt matter. Engineers havent much choises these days.
Guardians are better on paper but I still killing them becuase they think they are OP and die on arrogance also thieves (especialy) and wars. I am really afraid of time whem I met Guardian what handle his class as good as we engineers must for basic survive.

Totally agree with the part on healing power – its just so irrelevant its no even funny.

A stunbreaker on a 48 second (with trait) cd that gives ALL BUFFS in an AOE AREA!!!!!(esp the op ones like protection) for 10 SECONDS! plus is also a condition remove (with trait for cond remove on regeneration)

Man I played engineer in Warhammer Online. There were learning curve and skill unbalance 10x worse then here. GW2 engi is still paradise for me:-)
Many things on engineer are unfair compare to other classes.
- we havent signets
- havent weapon swap and kits take utility slots, not like ely.
- havent stability – that rng toss is joke.
- havent AoE buffs/heals so support is pain and 10x harder than guardian
- if we want do what war can handle with one 100b, we must learn on piano first.
- we havent any usefull movement skill likes ely ride on lightening. Beside we must spend utility slot for kits so event havent place for that. All our movement skills give us KD.
- some of traits like Scoope are against whole combat philosophy of dynamic combat.
But. Let them play their boring one button classes. I choose engi because playstyle is fun:-)
