Ill bite… I have been playing Engineer from beta and I would say im an expert (full of myself i know lol) I mainly WvW now days so I think i may be able to help a bit.
Ill be honest your build needs a bit of help, not because it the “Popular” build or anything like that. I wont tell you to use nades lol I don’t (even though I prolly should)
Lets look at skills first, for rabid and perplexity I recommend Shield as it fits the play style very well and helps proc your runes with the interrupt, also shield is one of the best tool an engi has for WvW with the blocks and stuns available it more than makes up for the extra damage from offhand pistol.
*Bombs*can work very well with this set and the damage is nice weather you play hybrid condition or power. Tool Kit is a good choice for any build just for the Pull and the extra Block but for conditions i find Rocket Boots usually make it on my bar for mobility and burn (that would help make up for the extra burn you would lose from taking Shield over OH Pistol)
I like Elixer C because its easy to use but I find that Elixir Gun has better condition removal on a shorter CD, it also has a lot of other useful tools.
Now on to your traits… don’t take this the wrong way I don’t like to be a jerk or anything but when i first looked at your traits i called TROLL, just in case I decided to post anyways. If you are trolling then well… I called it lol if not… sorry bro.
It looks like your going for Hybrid and that totally cool but you just have so many traits that dont fit your setup.
first Shrapnel this trait is great… with nades as they have 3x explosions that are faster, Bombs only have 1 and 15% is not a high chance to cause a relativity short bleed. also Energized Armor just… no and when you could be taking something like Stabilized Armor, Cloaking Device or Protection Injection instead it just doesn’t make seance.
Auto Med Response is BOSS though, good job on that (pro tip its had to land but that trait makes the new heal super amazing)
Blood Injection works with Rabid armor but i just feel there are better traits you could take here.
AND you skipped Firearms… for what? Napalm Specialist is a no brainier for your set up and Mod Ammo is great if you want your bombs to do good direct damage. and its not like the other traits in the line are weak the 10 and 20 point spots can be filled with something more useful than Blood Injection or Energized Armor
I get wanting a Unique build that’s fun to play and fits your style, you notice i don’t really tell you what build to go for. But our traits work in specific ways and when used in the right combos we can really be strong.

Just one question for you though, what would the reason be with going for shield AND go 30 into Firearms for 33% burning duration? I will go 30 into Firearms most likely looking at the options for getting the burning going stronger, and drop the idea of getting some power in there but go full condi. But where would I get the bruning from if not from pistol OH?
Och and yeah I mainly want to use the bombs because of the confusion stacking that goes with my runes, might not be worth it though?

I take Napalm IF I also take Rocket Boots because the Burn on the Tool Belt is strong. It also syncs with IP. If your looking for the hybrid approach you could also take Mod Ammo instead.

I took rocket boots and Napalm, burn on the toolbelt is strong enough to replace pistol OH, and the interrupts on the shield will hopefully stack some confusion. It would go very well with Incindiary powder I think but it feels like too much defensive to sacrifice to get it? Don’t know.
I would swap out Blood Injection and Speedy kits for it maybe. Does it make enough difference to be worth it?
I also feel I lack condi removal. I might take away rocket boots, get Incendiary Powder in replacement for it and use Elexir C for some removal? Only thing is that I loose control over my burns.

Other then u should go grenades, a few points:
Automatic medical response, resets cd on med-kit which has no cd. You want the 15 in tools for that, to reset your toolbelt heal.
Superior sigil of generosity helps for extra condi removal.
You want the 15 in alchemy for the extra condi removal.
I suggest you drop the 20 in inventions, but IF you inventions go all the way to healing bombs.
Another tactic that might suit you is:
get enchance preformance, sigil of battle and altruism runes for 15 perma might in combat and lot of fury uptime, when you spam healkit.
This builds seems to be a windmill duel build?
Because i hardly doubt that anyone is so crazy to roam with 0,0 mobility, without stunbreaks.

I am not. Would you try and write why you think I’m trolling, and why I shouldn’t have nothing in “mobility”. Especially since I have speedy kits and superior sigil of energy, and toolbelt skills build up 10 endurance. I let the “Vigor on swiftness” go because I would try to rely on the sigil more and get more donition damage. Also, changed the first link to what the build looks like now.
Top suggestions now – incendiary powder? Would probably drop 20 in inventions for it and loose alot fo defensive stuffs. Worth it?

This is the best engineer build for wvw atm. Only downside is you can’t kill condition necromancer(one knows sending conditions back) and perma-invis-broken-op-condition thief.
You really should not confuse new readers by inaccurately claim the build you linked is the “best”. Personally after I saw the build and “best” in the same sentence, I literally laughed a loud.
Particularly when you make blanket statements, such as “you” cannot kill such and such class with this build, doesn’t even make sense. Honestly, you haven’t the slightest idea what the rest of the community can or cannot due my friend. Particularly when there is no such thing as a “best” build in WvW as a whole, or any game mode for that matter. Different builds will be better for roaming then for attacking or defending a keep.

Thanks for sharing it at least. I’ve been looking around to get a feel of what goes with what and what don’t etc but as I stated before I am no copycat, I take joy in building myself. However last I played Engineer the Toss elexir S was either stability or stealth for 3 seconds and now it’s always stealth so stuff like that is completely new, which makes it a bit confusing.
As for what can’t be killed and the BEST build out there: I know that for example I will be much better off with med kit intead of turret because of my playstyle, just as I know that I want to try out bombs in this build and not nades because I feel more confident in that kind of play. Also the sigil fo energy instead of vigor will suit me better because its more direct.

Your survivability is more about blocking/dodging and position then having an extra 100-200 toughness. With shield you have increased your survivability by a large ammount as well.
The skills are hard to pick and largely depend on what your doing, I only play conditions in small groups so I don’t worrie so much about condi removal, that’s why I take rocket boots. Also as an engi your bleeds & poison are kind of a joke (unless your nades) so burning is kind of our thing, IMO it’s worth the loss. If I were you I may drop Tool Kit and pick up Elixer Gun the triad off being better condition removal and healing and WEAKNESS!! But you lose the extra confuse from crowbar and the extra block.
I run 20/30/0/10/10 with P/S Healing Turret, Flame Turret, Rocket Boots, and Elixer Gun
I grab packed turrets trait and use Flame Turret and shield (and sometimes Healig Turret) for interrupts to get perexity. Then I focus on stacking burn and weakness. Sometimes I’ll use Flamethrower instead of turret (I don’t ever sit in the kit) but the tool belt is cool and it offers knockback and blind.
Just some ideas
