So as anyone can tell, most people aren’t happy with the engineer nerfs. This thread isn’t going to be a rage fest about the many problems, instead lets list what we think needs to be changed/added/or modified in order to help make the engineer a viable class. Ill start it out. If this thread takes off with a good amount of suggestions, ill compile the ones that appeared most and post them in the suggestion section of the forum and maybe send it to them in an email.
1. Take out random of engineers, or make the things that are random better.
2. Weapons effect kit damage. This will not nerf anything, it should do more damage than it is now if you have an exotic.
3. Add a trait that allows turrets to be mobile
4. When picking up a turret, it turns its CD to 0
5. Fix the various broken traits
6. A viable long range single dps spec, not multi like nades. Every class has them, rifles, short bow, etc. Perhaps a kit, like the bazooka.
7. Double or triple the range of the Mortar if you keep the damage it has, or perhaps in heavily increase its damage or allow us to pick it up and do something with it so closing the gap doesn’t completely undue an elite skill.
8. Increase the healing we are able to do. While the condition removal is good, its very situational. We should look more into healing and having that interact with boons some how.
9. Give you ability to apply boons a look over. It has a small AoE/medium AoE that is really only viable if everyone is grouped up. Perhaps a skill called Viral Vaccination or something that makes it so we can spread Boons to nearby allies, such as the Necro and spread conditions.
Those are just some that come to mind. If you disagree, don’t post that you disagree. If you agree with someones post, quote it and say I agree. Post your own suggestions, if you wish. Anet seems to really have lacked communication with the engineer community, so lets force the communication.
