Now that Engie gets elite toolbelt skills, how do racial elites come into picture? Is it safe to assume there will be new toolbelt skills for them? Or are they going to get rid of racials all together, with the new unlock system? What do you think?

I’m thinking that they are removing racial skills. I can’t imagine they will make a category for them to unlock like the rest, and this whole change is to streamline the traits and abilities together into a straight forward acquisition system. I don’t see racial abilities fitting into this new system. I could be wrong. We’ll have to wait and see some news from A-Net. But I would’t be so sad. I mean they see to be making mortar into charzooka 2.0. I think they will try and incorporate some of the racial ideas into the new elite specializations. Like avatar of melandru could be a druid ability. We’ll see, but I’m not sure how racials fit into the new paradigm.

I doubt they will get rid of racials altogether, and things like mistfire wolf (people paid for that one, I don’t see it going away). They’ll probably just be unlocked from the start and wont have an unlock track like the class skills.

The easy solution is to just have a common F5 skill for all of the racials.

That would be kind of nice – since the race is mostly sth for you´re outer appereance, and I realy don´t want to trade my arrogant asura for a dumb norn ( sry to all norn ^^ ).
Though I don`t think it would be a nice option, since it`s hard to find sth that all races have in common.
I´d like to see the racial skills be more or less weaker than the class ones, so that no one has to reroll his race for skills ( just like it is at the moment ).

I don’t see why they wouldn’t. The racial utilities have f-skills.
