That blast is absolutely uselees and never work when you really need it.. Another new row for bug forum..

Rather than using it for Might you can also use it with Healing Turret for some extra healing. Easier to pull off and still useful. The real problem is Napalms shape, I’d rather it just be a circle or a thicker rectangle with less length.

yes and no.
Playing some time with shooting fireballs i realized that it’s like any other projectile in any FPS game but here by default u will shoot inyto ground because u ussually watching with that angle.
For mightstacking:
1. IF the field right below your legs 45 degrees above horizontal and u will shoot in ground but if u will doubletap it fast enough u will proc might.
2. If it is few steps in front, u should turn it down so u will watch everything on horizontal lvl and better blast it in needed moment.
This fireballs works same as riffle AA, elixir gun AA, throw wrench etc.
IF u turn down your camera to horizontal u can hit the targets infront of you easily WITHOUT THEM beeing targeted.
For FT #2, if somebody stand right at you u can just doubletap it and mostly u will hit him cause radius is 240.
But turning it to vertical (watching from down to up) will shoot the #2 FT into the air OR higher terrain.
Just do it like this! Works allways for me.

It does but sometimes there’s a delay to when the fireball comes out. I usually just tap 2 twice but not too rapidly.

This has been working for me. Although my situation is generally blasting a water field I am standing in so it is a bit of a different situation most of the time.
Just stay inside the fire field first. Also spam the 2 button multiple times instead of just twice.

In case it’s not clear yet, the projectile has to be in the fire field when you detonate it.
This is why it’s much easier to do it as Xyonon’s diagram shows.

Most of the time the problem here is that when you do not have a target selected, FT 2 fires in the direction of your camera. Most often, this means it fires into the ground. Once the FT 2 projectile goes into the ground, consider it lost, it’s gone.
To remedy this, position your camera angle so that you are looking above ground level, fire into the length of the Fire Field as mentioned above, then you’ll have no trouble landing this out of combat.
EVERYONE should disable autotarget. You can play much better without it, most of the time because of cleaving between enemies you normally couldn’t.
You just have to turn your camera in an horizontal position. It’s really not that hard … :P

I can’t ^ this enough.
Auto target should be off in general anyway. Free aim Flame Jet without a target, and you’ll be able to hit a larger range of targets over the cast time and tag multiple mobs/players.
You’ll also get a feel for how the Flame Blast projectile moves and how and when to detonate it.
Not only that, you won’t get the annoying missmissmissmiss.

I know it’s largely pointless at this point to hold my breath, but I would like to see Anet change the shape of that fire field. Only negative I could see to them making it a circle is because of it’s duration, it might be op to cover a large area for that time.
Greetings everyone! I’ve made some test with the Napalm field and the Fire Bomb field. I now know why it is sometimes working and sometimes not! It’s obvious and easy!
The Napalm field isn’t just small in wide, it’s also small in height!

-> therefore, Asura have it easier than Charr or Norn to proc to blast finisher.

It’s incredibly awkward to do it and a pain in the kitten in combat. The Napalm field is literally a line so its pretty much impossible to land it from a distance.
I would love them to change it, simply because it’s a pain on your fingers to blast it and it doesn’t fit into the flow of combat at all.
