What is your prefered race for a Engineer and why?

Definitely charr.
It fits well lore-wise and story-wise.
And charr´s racial “hidden pistol” may be not so useful on any other class but its toolbelt skill is actually pretty nice.
Plus I feel like some skins on charr look more engineer-like than medium armor skins on humans, for instance.

Well, Humans look weird no matter what :p

Asura, though I am a little envious of Hidden Pistol sometimes. (I can’t stand the Charr run animation though.)

Kinda like my sylvari, a weed with a flamethrower

Asura…Radiation Field is invaluable for an engy:)

I chose asura as well.

Pain inverter and radiation field are great for some builds. And I like being as small as I can be in most games

No question, it has to be Asura: Underpowered guy with a ton of attitude = Engineer every time!
That, and they get the best lines.

Hidden pistols toolbelt just too good to pass up.

Biased towards Charr, as I have four… Great racials (Minus the elites). I hear good things about the Asura ones too though.

It’s strange, most engineers I see are either Charr, or specifically, female human, not sure why. You’d think Asura engineers would be more common…

Charr for sure. If your running Power/Prec/Crit damage builds Hidden Pistols is a must for it’s toolbelt skill……looking at an easy 7-8k+ damage skill.

Asura all the way, Bookah! Golems, gears, gadgets, etc. Fits like a glove.

Charr for the lore, Asura for the technology, and Sylvari for the turrets that are better than Engineer turrets… Oops, did I just say that?

Most of my characters are human, so is my Engineer.
In my opinion, humans females have the best looking medium armor.
For light armored characters i chose Asura because their T3 cultural is really cool (and they are adorable)
