How did you guys get past the broken map completion? That’s the last part i need now, so close yet so far

Drone Race is open sometimes. I’ve actually completed the event without bugs, but only once. No idea how that happens.

Thank god it’s such an easy gold. Just avoid all the ramps but one (maybe two if you could the last ramp, but turbo boosting off of that usually leads to death).

I just kind of got the masteries while I was maxing the elite specs of my alts.

Man. When I see comments like that so soon after the game’s release, I wonder how much others are playing…or whether I’m just THAT inefficient. Anyway, it is good to remember that the masteries are account-wide. I’m now working on leveling some of my alts and it does help leveling the masteries feel like less of a chore…though you can only do the same events over and over so many times without it getting boring.

Hopefully in time, more people will get into the later zones, making some of the later events POSSIBLE (providing more variety). Right now, only the first zone is proving reliable for decent fast-moving event completion. SOMETIMES the second zone, depending on time of day.

For the most part, it’s really all about stacking boosters; Birthday/Celebration(same boost, different durations), New XP booster, Old XP booster, Killstreak booster, normal consumables/food, halloween consumables, banners, guild hall bonus, and likely one or two more things I’ve forgotten. Also, kill any non-hostile beasts you run into, most people just ignore them, and all mobs give bonus xp up to a total more than twice their normal worth depending on how long it’s been since they’ve spawned.

When you’re getting 7-8k xp base and up to 12k or more xp on everything you kill, those masteries start filling out pretty quickly.

EDIT: I misworded the bonus xp bit, the bonus itself can rise to more than double the base, after boosters, meaning a mob noone has killed in forever can be worth more than three times what it’s normally worth. Hence how you can get to 12k or more. A guildie of mine once got 16k xp on a single mob kill thanks to that bonus xp.

Exactly, the problem is not the exp but the mastery points..i currently have 2 unlocks ready (exp filled) but not enought mastery points…

Did you finish the story? I’m the otherway around, i have tons of points left over and i’m just waiting on xp and of course this stupid map completion bug. Once that’s fixed i’ll have this sexy hammer

I’m 12/14. I need the Nuhoch Stealth Mastery and the Machined Hammer. I thought I was very close to get it, and then I discovered that Machined Hammer Handle is totally RNG.
I’ve opened 50+ Noxious pods and didn’t get anything out of them, a part from 20ish Crystalline Ores.

This is horrible.. it was such a nice collection: get this done, kill that guy, glide there, explore this, get this mastery. And then the RNG appears and ruins everything. And it’s not like it’s an “easy” RNG, like the Mystic Forge, available 24/7. No, of course not. And that’s not even the worst part.

The machine piece you could get from the pods you could find in the map you could have completed may not even be the machined piece you NEED.

about Machined Hammer Handle i get that last night in finale chest when u defeated mouth of mordrem in finale meta event,didnt opened single nox pod for that.Maybe its just rng to get from finale chest but idk rly…

Currently 8/14, the mastery grind is REAL! Its all gonna be worth it though, such a sick skin!

On top of a two hour event each time to do this and the unfortunate rng. I must step back, I hate the way they had to throw this in there.

For the sake of my sanity I gotta call it for now.

it probably won’t help ease the pain, seeing as you have probably opened the chest before and haven’t gotten it yet, but i got mine from the chest at the end of mordremoth’s battle :c i honestly believe that the tool tip means to say it is acquired from the chest at the end of the battle rather than the pods because i read that it has dropped for a lot of people there… and of course i got mine there as well, so i would assume it is safe to say that it does drop there.

Well, if you want it right now and have enough tomes and an empty character slot, you can roll an engi alt, boost them to 80, and map complete VB. The bug is only on characters with 100% Tyria map completion, a fresh character should have no issues.

However, with the issue being fixed in 5 days, probably better just to wait.

Holy hell, FINALLY got it today! I can also confirm the hammer handle came from Mordys chest.

It was all worth it.

Dam Drone Race is bugged for me and I cant complete my collection anybody know a way to fix it or do we have to wait till anet fixes it?

How is it bugged?

One of the missions that you have to complete to unlock it gets stuck and is unfinishable, i assume that’s what he means

Also, sometimes you are mysteriously one-shotted at the end of Drone Race itself when using the final ramp to jump over the flames at the end.

Luckly, unlike the event that often bugs out before it, there is a workaround; ramp over the rocks to the left of the flames instead, you’ll land safely behind them without any problems crossing the finish line.

Hop on the rocks to the left at the end. The poison field extends higher than the gfx so you can’t hop over.

How the heck do you guys get the Charged Hammer head? I got an oiled Orichalum hammer head and I have been going to different power points and it doesn’t give me the option. Do you have to be a weaponsmith to charge it?

Mine is just waiting for the map completion fix…

yep same. If you are going for machined i’d suggest to get the wep first from vendor and THEN open the final reward chest in DS. I got it first try this way with the shield ;-)

Exactly, must be in HoT maps and must be simple communes. Easiestest is the one south of the Pit Adventure in Verdant Brink

I killed the inquest golem II world boss in Mount Maelstrom twice and got the servo on my second try.

Herald shield had no RNG for me (or maybe i just got lucky…)

After the second run i got it too.

I got it at the third attempt. But my 2nd try was bugged (Chest didn’t appeared even with gold completion).
