Flamethrower/Elixir Gun Build
That’s pretty much what I’m doing right now. I’m going for HGH and some might runes, going to see how much damage I can do with large amounts of might.
I am running full Condition damage currently, the upfront damage isnt the greatest but if I can both #4s going, they tick for around 800 each, and things HP does start to melt.
Thats now the reason I am considering Flamethrower for primary weapon for a more constant burn without relying on 10 in explosives.
I use this for PVE with pow-tou-vit armor and esmerald jewlery, I try to be support/tanky and well, at least is funny and help my friends surviving

Traits:
30 Firearms > II (Sitting duck) – VIII (Fireforged trigger) – IX (Juggernaut)
10 Inventios > V (Energized armour)
20 Alchemy > IV (Self regulating defenses) – VII Deadly mixture
10 Tools > IV (Kit refinement)
And armor/jewlery as said before.

That’s a thing I like of this build, they’re many rotation posibilities. Personally I don’t like systematic rotations, they bore me.
For example, with one target you can start using analyze, then net shot, flame blast, incendiary ammo, three hip shots, smoke vent when it’s mele range, fumigate and flame jet until is dead if not yet. If you don’t have the agro, use many vulnerabilties as possible and flame blast – hip shot (with incendiary ammo if you can)
With a group, start napalm, jumpshot, blunderbuss, smoke vent and flame jet using air blast or acid bomb if you wanna some space…
Spamming healing mist whenever’s possible, bandage self at about half life and the googles or stimulant if you need the extra crit)
I don’t know they’re many possibilities, maybe there’s an optimum one but I like to do different rotations, and when you are in a group mix that with super elixir, fumigate to clean yoour mates, tranquilizer darts if it’s a boss hitting hard… Just give it a try, I don’t get bored with the build.

But you’re looking for WvW aren’t you? I can’t help you so much there I play almost always PVE
Sigil… if you have a decent crit % (if not with googles and stimulant you will get it) I recommend a “on critic” one, as fire.
I’m trying to get dolyak, until I have all the gold I have crest of the soldier but mine is a tanky build, not a dps.

Thanks for the suggestions, yeah just did some WvW,with the omnom ghost pie, I did alright. Thinking of getting a couple pieces of armor with precision and crit to help keep crit chance high. I just really like the flamethrower, with the steal health and regenerator, I’m doing ok.
I’m also now “stuck” with 0/30/0/30/10 build. It offers very versatile builds with just traiting.
Mainly using vulnerability on crit, ft/rg cd reduction, juggernaut from firearms. Elixir cd reduction, and then alternating hgh, 409, backpack regen, elixir dur and 15% ft/eg damage from alchy and alternating speedy kit, kit ref and static discharge from tools.
dual wielding, strenght sigil on mh, fire on shield, stacking first precision with other gun.
Still experimenting of choices but rocking most of the time with 15stack of might and 25stack of prec. FT #1 hits from 1600-2400 per round, #2 crits 3-4k, fire sigil hits every 6-7sec about 1kish aoe. Wrench throw with static d hits 2400 w/o critting.
Pistol #2 hits around 1200+cond #3 extra st. d #4 awesome projectile reflection plus 3stack aoe might with FT#4 fire field. #5 nice double interrupt with decent damage.
Still missing runes of strength, major sigils from weapons (only have rare weapons as well) and jewelry is mastercrafted..
Outside miss issues this spec really melts things in pve safely, dunno how it compares to other classes but for me its all good.
Forgot to add I mainly use elixir H & B, FT and tool kit. Didnt like tool kit for 80 levels but now growing slowly into it since throw wrench is darn good with static discharge and tool kit #2 #3 with occasional blocking are nice extra tools.

6 rune of altruism, sigil of earth+battle, rabid gear, but can be carrion or knight (I need precision in my cond damage build to have more bleed/burn proc from trait/sigil).
The idea is using medi kit once every 10 seconds to stack might (3 from rune of altruism to all party, 3 from sigil of battle, 3 from enhance performance (explosive X)) fury (altruism aoe + medi kit #5), vigor (alchemy I) and swiftness (tools VI).
I have been enjoying this a ton since I changed to
0/30/0/30/10 and using Flame Thrower, my next biggest question is Runes and Stats, it seems that Power/Prec/Toughness might be the best choice? Dual weild with Earth and ?
This is my build. It’s all condition based:
Tend to go with 0/30/0/30/10, if I’m running with both FT and EG. Traits are Precise Sights (Rifled Barrels if I know I want to keep at longer range and use the EG), Fireforged Trigger, Juggernaut, Fast Acting Elixirs, Deadly Mixture, HGH and Kit Refinement for those double stacked Super Elixirs.
Armour I use either Power/Vit/Tough or Power/Vit/Crit damage with a random assortment of rare and exotic accessories, though most are Beserker. On my P/V/T armour set I have 2 runes of Hoelbrak (20% might duration increase) and the rest ranger because it offers the same stat boosts as eagle (precision and crit damage) while costing half as much from the TP.
Weapon wise, I favour either P/P or P/S with sigil of fire on the main hand and sigil of corruption on the off-hand for that extra bit of condition damage.
I can typically get around 18-22 stacks of might reliably and my usual damage range is anything between 1.6K – 3.1K with Flame Jet. The EG I usually swap to just to use Acid Bomb and Super Elixir or if I’m up against something that requires me to keep at range rather than mid line.
I mainly use the FT for PvE stuff. In WvW I find it’s a bit more hit and miss given how mobile combat is there, though it is always fun using backdraft to send a few enemies over the cliffs to their doom. Still if you’ve got a good WvW team you roam with, with a couple of front liners, then against a group of people it’s good to keep up the pressure.
