Guild Wars 2

So, I was toying around with the new flamethrower (basically just stuck it on my HGH grenade build here ), and found it was pretty fun and viable. Build is here, and it offers a few things of note.

First, extremely high condition damage. The lowest you’ll see is 1486, and the highest (with 8 stacks of might and full corruption) is over 1900. This means your burns (the largest source of damage) will hit anywhere from 703 damage a tick to a over 800 a tick. Your bleeds and poison also hit pretty hard, but nowhere near as much over a normal fight’s duration.
Next, rather high survivability. 2600-2800 total defense means you’re not going to be dropped quickly by a cookie cutter thief. Cleansing formula 409 keeps conditions off you, so your 18k health remains intact. Finally, perma swiftness in combat from elixir B plus infused precision makes moving in and out of flamethrower range much easier.
Finally, thanks in part to a bug and in part to high might, you have decent direct damage burst when you need it on Flamethrower 2. At max range it pops twice, doing up to 4k damage in a second. Combined with decent sustained damage thanks to 49-69% crit rate, you can outlast just about any GC build.

How is it working for you?

We could use tinyurl or something to help alleviate it, but that can create security issues. The GW2 forums doesn’t like links that are too long, which is why it says bad link. I’m not entirely sure why it’s coded this way intentionally or unintentionally.

Very true, however, all you have to do is switch to pistol to avoid that. You’ll want pistol out versus guards anyways since they’re almost all melee ranged. Assuming you avoid stupidly killing yourself, guardians actually are pretty easy. Only 1 condition that deals damage and the rest is direct, meaning a lot is mitigated thanks to high armor.
