I am level 80 with a bunch of exotic gear (mainly citadel of flame/100% completion exotics as well as full rare jewelery I crafted with power main stat)

I was curious if you guys also think power is better? I currently do because I use the rifle weapon and there are no real good conditions aside from number 3 skill, swapping to nades there is the number 2 and number 5 (does condition damage affect poison?)

Grenades are actually stronger with power as well. The toolbelt skills does lots of damage.

Im aiming for 6 Superior runes of Baelfire and orr gear for the power because I run grenades and bomb kit.

Precision isn’t good without damage, and conditions make fights take too long imo (If they ever fix flamethrower burn though condition damage might not be such a bad investment)

Though one might note that flamethrowers with precision can stack up a lot of the traited crit-based status effects/conditions pretty fast.

It depends on what you are using for your main damage out put. Also, your value of precision is directly dependent on the level of your crit damage. If you stack +crit damage gear and traits, you can crit for ridiculous amounts.

right now im using a full berserker exotic gear with grenades and it feels awesome for dungeons. It does a lot of damage with like 85% crit Dam and 60% crit chance and always with 20-25 vulnerabilty

Crit and crit damage is ideal for grenades.

Might gives free power/cond. Explosive trait line gives free power. Raw weapon damage, gives free base damage. Power as a stat on gear doesn’t scale with any of these.
Therefor, crit scales with that free power the best.

Do note, you can’t crit vs doors/seige.

It is also possible to do a hybrid build if you swap a few pieces of berserk’s for carrion if you run a build with firearms if you got good might stacking going on. It’s not to hard getting your burning to do 470-540 a tick. You lose a bit off the high end crits, but the power stays roughly the same and the bleed / burns / poisons do better.

I have been trying it out in PvE, WvW, and will test it in dungeons pretty soon.

Even in power spec’s you’ve got a lot of condition abilities that just sit on your bars while you spam grenade 1 or hipshot.
