It’s really simple, anyone can do it and it’s the braindead counter to a build that is too powerful. This and Scepter Focus Eles are what teams need to take care of this disease that’s about the plague us.
I personally play FT/EG because FT has Airblast which reflects projectiles and that recharges every 12-15s but for all you guys who feel that a safer option is needed, Fortified turrets is your answer.
If any of the teams in the current ToL tourney ran that spec with their engineers (or S/F eles) they would have nullified those Warriors.
But good job on all fronts though. I just wish someone would shut down those Wars.
Unfortunately, it’s not a shut out on warriors. It does force a swap many times, but the warrior can still hit the ground outside the turret with his burst skill and blast finisher, which can kill the turret occasionally. It can reflect the pin down, as long as the warrior opens with it or you can drop the turret in the second or so you have to react to the animation. Most warriors will not be effected by the trait however.
There was an obvious boon in running 2 bow warriors, seeing as the top teams both ran 2 in the matches leading up to the finals (final match has yet to start, assuming it will use the same). Perhaps something still needs looked at with them? Unfortunately, hard to say what can be done without badly hurting the class as a whole. We’ll see.
The main reason why people are running that build is because they can return to the amount of damage that Hambow was doing originally with the Runes of the Strength. If that rune was changed, the amount of power coming out would be weakened but the functionality would still be there and they would still be able to get a bit of damage with the Sigil of Battle.
I still maintain that teams should run Projectile reflection to nullify that longbow damage. Would make things a lot more interesting.
This build is annoying but its deffinetely not a hard counter, killed some such engis myself using axe-bow, hambow probably should handle it too. Combustive shoot radius is way too big for those tiny reflect fields unless you unload 3-4 turrets simultaniously.
