Freshly back, quick questions
I do not know what that build is. Got a link to it? Every other day there is some Johhny come lately here now a days claiming their name to a build. Generally they are listing a build that some one else posted 2 years ago, and flooding the forums with so called “named builds”. So it makes it a little difficult to put builds to names now a days.

A link would have been useful huh? lol, sorry. Here’s the link. Basically it’s a direct damage, CC build. Using Knight gear with Pack runes. I’m not so worried about traits and skills as I can switch those around, just want to make sure about the armor since it’s a one time, somewhat costly, investment.
(I’m looking for WvW btw, so direct damage > condition build?)

Personally, I would rather have speedy kits over power shoes for a speed boost. As well, I would chose utility goggles over EG for a stun breaker if I am going to put 6 into tools. Those are personal choices though.
What do you want to do with the build in WvW. because I can tell you that if your roaming, then condition damage is certainly going to be better to kill players then direct damage, but again, it depends on what role or function you plan on filling.
Otherwise, as far as I am concerned, the gear is fine for a glass cannon like build. But my personal gear recommendation varies depending on what you want to do.

i dont take power shoes because i prefer it over speedy kits, i take it because i need a move speed increase and taking power shoes gives me a heal reset for the minor trait.
and in any sd build theres about 5 traits that are pretty legit to take in tools, so not taking speedy kits opens up a pretty high demand slot for you.
for the record, im not a fan of sd builds at all. i dont like that it screws with your skill queue and has poor targeting. and the grandmasters are all underwhelming. and that toolbelt reset just isnt gonna do it for you in a pinch imo. but i know a lot of people are really into it cuz of the hueg burstz.
