Fun little fact about overcharged shot
Too bad Engineer can’t stability.
Not reliably, anyway. Elixir S can be tossed for Stability or Stealth, but . . . Well, it’s an RNG.
Loudmouth, lousy PvPer, and mediocre PvEer.
I don’t own, I just play

Hardly anything like Stand Your Ground, Armor of Earth or Dagger Storm.
Exactly my point.

Yea we are too OP for stability
Tekkit’s Workshop

Ironically, it’s also our bane.
If you have stability you do not fall over.
Have a good day
You can also “break fall” by hitting your stun breakers (eg goggles) as you fall to cancel the self knockback.
My big question for all you engineers out there is:
Since our skills have self stuns (overcharged shot and rocket boots) which we can stun break out of, does wearing full Melandru set and consuming food that -stun duration help us recover from these 2 skills’ side effects faster?
It should.
should try it and see how that feels in play.

I did and it is inconclusive. Due to:
1) Lag as I play from Asia
2) placebo… I “felt” it make a difference but I think I wanted it to feel that way maybe?
May make Melandru set one of the most useful set for us if that’s true.
Team up with a hammer guardian with “stand your ground!” and watch people crumple to your excessive control.
The self knockback isn’t bad though since you can use it to maintain spacing and avoid things.

Not to mention its self-stun doesn’t last nearly as long as the Rocket Boots and sets up a good Jump Shot or Grenade Barrage.
If you’re quick enough you can: overcharge shot →grenade barrage → jump shot.
If you’re quick enough you can: overcharge shot ->grenade barrage -> jump shot.
You’re better off running to your target, hitting jump shot in melee (for both takeoff and landing damage), blunderbuss, and THEN overcharge shot to get out of dodge.

I do this all the time. Usually Blunderbuss first, then Net Shot to keep them there for the Jump Shot take off and landing, then the OC shot. Works like a charm.

I do:
netshot, jumpshot for damage and vulnerability, blunderbust for damage, grenades for damage and then overcharge to clear distance. By this this, you can probably netshot again.
If you use overcharge immediately after being ressed I believe the invulnerability prevents you from launching. Also since RB and OS are both selfstuns, they activate related traits…
