Funny WvW idea: Massive Mine-field?
That sounds like a great idea. We have an all engineer guild on FA [NERF], hopefully we can try it!
It’s [NERF] or nothing!
You could lay down the mines behind a door, then before they charge in, get some might stacking going for a death field instead, good damage and massive boon removal(each mine removes a boon, its actually the best boon removal in game).
Could be pretty neat. There’d also be a massive stripping of boons, and with Throw Mine mines scattered throughout, it’d cause a touch of disarray.
Im jealous. Im in Db without a guild and here my wvw nemisis from FA Posts a comment in thr engineer forums that they have an all engineer guild. Well done FA.
Neat idea. But don’t do it because ANet will nerf mines if you do.
In WvW I like to pop an elixer S and run into the zerg dropping as many bombs/grenades as possible then run away. Not quite the same thing but also very fun. A group of engines doing that within the main zerg would be hilarious too.

Lol I love to do that too, I like to drop big ol’ bomb and grenade barrage as soon as I become vulnerable, then just run in circles bombing people until I die. It works even better if you use Elixir U, although sometimes you get the one that increases damage taken and you die really fast.
Neat idea in theory. 5-person AoE cap completely kills it when put to the test.
i was thinking it would be cooler dropping not just mines but supply crates and some turrets
Yeah whenever more guildies from [NERF] are on it might be fun to do
However as a consolation screenshot (because the mine thing hasn’t been attempted yet) here is four of us dropping big ol bomb simultaneously.

Im in yaks bend right now.
if we had an all engineer guild called [nerf] i would join that in a heart beat

OK that’s it. I’m loading up mines tonight.

Have to be an Engineer.
(And slightly crazy)
It’s [NERF] or nothing!
^Yeah, be prepared to do something very nonsensicle, like coordinating elixer x pops together and wade into zergs as a legion of tornadoes and giants.

i do that pretty often lol .
Dirty dirty mines. They actually disappear after a short time of being deployed and they actually trigger a cooldown afterwards despite disappearing from the timeout. You’d have to be there to keep an eye on them and maintain them all conspicuous-like.
And then if someone’s wise to the mines they might charge in with a shield, although honestly the chance of someone being that smart and also having a shield is pretty low.
The mines wouldn’t kill anybody though. The zerg would keep throwing bodies at them until they were all gone.
The little mines wouldn’t help at all. Everyone can see them and they last an even shorter amount of time. As soon as you get somewhere safe to watch your mines at work, they’re probably already gone. You might annoy them to insanity with all the ticking though.
Yeah, Throw Mine is a depressingly bad skill. Still I’d LOVE to see footage of a minefield vexing some dumb scrubs.
