Just give gadgets passive effects like signets…
rocketboots: +25% movement speed (in and ooc)
slick-shoes: increase condition-dmg
throw mine: increase power
googles: increase precision also reduce its cd (we really could need more stunbreakers)
deactivate the passive effect if the gadget is on CD
change the belt-ability of slick-shoes to give stability instead of movement-speed
trait-changes:
inventions: remove power-shoes / add leg-mods
tools: remover leg-mods / add new trait that allows the passives to be active, even if the gadget is on cd
there you go, suddenly gadgets become useful and allow a wider variety of builds, just like arena-net “tried” in the last patch

forgot about our new healing skill, which counts as gadget as well.
since we already have BR and EG’s #5 + its belt-ability, another passive heal would maybe not the best idea
still, either give it increased healing power or increased vitality.
personally I’d prefer healing-power to support EG + BR

I still like the idea from the other thread about dropping a mine everytime a gadget is activated. Use a battering ram? drop a mine with it. Throw a mine? Drop a mine with it. Its like what hgh does mechanics wise but for gadgets.
-Static Gadgets:Activating a Gadget fires a bouncing static bolt at your current target.
-Hardwired Gadgets: Activating a Gadget reduces the current cooldowns on all Rifle, Pistol and Shield Weapon skills by 10%.
-Internal Gadget Charger: Deal 5% increased Damage while a Gadget is on Cooldown.
-Inventors ingenuity: Activating a Gadget removes all Cripple, Chill, or Immobilize.
-Limiter Removal : Activating a Gadget has a random chance to cause an explosion that knocks back nearby foes and inflicts 3 seconds of Burning.

thats what RB already do. why copying this effect to all gadgets?
So that builds without Rocket Boots could still have readily available soft CC removal. I didn’t like to think of everyone being forced into taking Rocket Boots when they may want to try out other builds.
