Gadget build
What are you trying to accomplish with your build? It has some cc but it lacks damage. What do you do, once you pin down your opponent?
You have no significant direct damage: pistol #1 hits like a wet noodle with or without MA, #2 sprays all over the place and misses 50% of the shots.
For conditions you have a 7 sec burn on a lengthy cooldown and very short bleeds from pistol auto.
Even a glass cannon with no condition cleanse will survive this.

I’ll try to be a little more constructive, although I do sort of agree with Mork. Stat wise its very hybrid damage, focused too much on CC. Which is fine if you want to be the very annoying engi roaming with some thieves. But if you want to be able to kill someone you’ll need more sources of damage (which is why kitless builds hardly ever work).
If your very anti-kit, I would at the least suggest taking an off-hand pistol. You could also move 10 points from firearms to explosives for forceful explosives and fit bomb kit in there (bomb kit and slick shoes synergize well).
One last note is to look at toxic focusing crystal for the extra 10% condi duration
I’d like to be constructive, but for that it’s necessary to know the purpose of the build.
“WvW focused on cc” is a bit vague.
Do you plan to:
- zerg
- solo roam
- group roam
- duel
- troll/camp (e.g. jumping puzzle)?

I agree with the lack of damage, absolutely that’s why I came here for suggestions. The build duels well but it takes some time to bring anyone down. I like the idea of bomb kit, would doing the 10 in firearms for 10 in explosives for the bomb radius be a large enough dos boost? I would replace net turret with the kit. Drop sitting duck I am also up for suggestions on gear! Celestial is just what I have. I like to solo risk and duel by the way.

I played with your build a bit

Gadgets sync really well with power and crit, im all about celestial gear and hybrid play so i think you could play this viably but not with P/S
What you lost
-Block from /S
-Stun from /S
-Conditions from P/ (not really a loss lol)
-Water field from HT (you could use HT but its a gadget build and i want to see our new heal work lol)
traits
-Prot Injection (cool trait but invig speed is better)
- 25% move speed in combat
- Mod Ammo (cool trait honestly but there’s no room)
-100 comdi dmg (useless) 100 precision (once again no room)
What you gain!
-Rifle #1 (good sustain dps)
-Net Shot (to replace net turret)
-Jumpshot + Blunderbuss (burst combo)
-Overcharged Shot (MOAR Knock Downs!)
-Ram or Goggles (benefit from traits and fit into “Gadget” build)
-Pow > Condi (face it)
traits
-Mod Armor (Aegis plz)
-Invig Speed (Vigor)
-Speedy Kits (mostly for roaming/keeping up in wvw but also invig speed)
-Infused prec (invig speed)
-20% crit damage and Toolbelt CD
Only reason I took the time was because I like where you were going (kind of) don’t take offence if i swapped stuff around too much but the whole “Gadget” theme was kept alive.
Without a single condition removal, this build is not going to work.
For a roaming build you need:
- mobility (to catch/escape)
- a stun break or toughness/traits to sit through disables
- cc
- damage
- condition removal
It’s 2 am here now, I’ll try to put up some build tomorrow.

I am just not willing to go rifle, I just hate that weapon for some reason. That and I have Quip!

Well if you have Quip that is a different build all together, I may suggest perplexity even in its slightly nerfed state. I have Preditor so I’m partial to rifles.
As for the condi removal, your right, throw in EG instead of ram.
…What you gain! …
-Speedy Kits (mostly for roaming/keeping up in wvw but also invig speed)
Not to nitpick, but in my experience, one generally needs to have a kit in order for speedy kits to work.
Also, in general I agree with the power concept for gadget-based builds, but if you’re going to go that route, there’s no reason not to throw the static discharge in there for the added damage, even if you don’t base your entire build around it.

LOL you are 100% correct I usually run med kit so I didn’t even think about it.
Personally, I think the build isn’t too bad.
What you might try is to remove the 20 pts from toughness and move them into power- pick up the A-P turret trait at 10 and IP at 20.
This will give you two more push backs with damage and also add more burning.
I would also suggest upping that condi damage some. I like the undead runes myself (plus they help with the tough-food)
Never been a big fan of Sigil of Earth, maybe swap out to torment?
I also like the rifled barrels trait too. I know it isn’t great on pistol, but I do like the extra distance on the P1, and that’s really all you are using most of the time in this build. The biggest travesty is having 5 blast finishers and no fields to use them on…
Happy hunting.
If you are totally against rifle you could…go with p/p and a flamethrower over net turret and take burn duration you could do some nasty damage, (rocket kick, incendiary ammo, blowtorch, fire field etc.) You could rock sigil of smoldering… all the while still maintaining a lot of cc and still do decent physical damage… maybe try forge runes? Obviously trade out sitting duck for something… blah blah blah.
