I got super excited when i saw “damage is taken by bulwark gyro” part missing, but apparently its still there
It was pointless in wvw, and is now even more pointless.

I think management said something akin to “PvP matches are taking too long and are boring to watch, fix it” and the result was a reduction to passive damage mitigation across most classes (Rise! and I’m sure others). I can understand that logic but with the fixed health of the drone already being low this was basically a double nerf.

as a fellow wvw player this would be a welcome change.
Stop balancing the whole game around pvp
WvW is not PvP!

That was what I was thinking too. Would it be too strong in PvE? No, definitly not. WvW and PvP? Destroy the Gyro and you’re done, you probably cleave it anyway.

I think only the Chrono should have redirected damage on the phantasms since they are easily reproducabel, or rather are intended to be ephemeral. Maybe rise it again back to 50%, to balance the downsites. But for Druid and Engi, 33% with no redirection makes more sense in terms of gameplay.

It would definitely make more sense, as it would make it better for group situations. Right now it blocks the same amount of damage whether you’re alone or with other people, but it still is balanced for a solo situation (like tanking a point in pvp).

Removing the damage redirection would make it akin to banners and other similar utilities, with a bonus applied per member (and thus stronger in groups) rather than a fixed one shared by all the people affected (that makes it weaker the more people there are).
