It is basically impossible to see (especially given how tiny it is, even for a norn but especially for an asura). While I won’t pretend that better visibility would salve some of the complaints people have had about it, it would certainly help to feel certain that it was actually deployed (in crowded scenes the nameplate gets easily lost).

Similarly might be nice to have “recharging/waiting/reviving/stomping” status icon in our status bar (think: signets), and maybe a corresponding icon attached to anyone it was enfunctioning. (Possibly these could only visible to us? Shrug?)

I’d say give us back the icon from the beta, but don’t get rid of my lil buddy floating over my shoulder.

I love him. He is my child.

I absolutely despise the floating gyro model. It completely mucks with my character design, and given that I spent a lot of time getting the look right, that’s pretty important to me. Fortunately, my hatred for the thing does give me a convenient reason to avoid the scrapper altogether. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take it away and give us back the attractive and perfectly functional icon. I promise that I will send you real dollar bills if you at least make it optional somehow. Please.

I had an opportunity to use the Function Gyro, and while I think it works GREAT trying to see it and start it is very hard in combat.

That’s my big issue with it– I keep spamming the F key from range and sort of… hoping? that’s just bad UI/UX. It’s great when it works (and surprisingly more useful in PvE than I first assumed, especially given the ubiquity of group events in HoT)

I can keep track of it, and I adore my cyber pal-

however, the icon should return also. there was no reason to remove it in the first place.

There seems to be no reason for a lot of things Scrapper related. It’s almost the elite spec motto: “There was no reason”.

“Only problem with the Engineer is
that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

I want to be able to put skins on my function gyro.

On topic, higher visibility would help both sides I think-people wouldn’t waste time stomping targets you’re already using the gyro on, and it would make counterplay more effective as well.

Same here. Don’t take “Little Pumpkin” away from me.

I love having a constant flying companion. As an Asura I would like it if the function gyro was a bit bigger.

I completely agree with this. I too have spent a lot of time and a small fortune getting my engineer to look amazing – my color scheme is black and green through the weapons, armor, hair and eyes and then there is this ugly red pufferfish looking thing always floating beside him now that I unlocked the first trait? WTF!? It totally puts me off playing this elite spec! Which sucks because I was really looking forward to it and bought a scientific hammer especially for this spec. PLEASE give us the option to hide the little … kitten.

the way i use functioning gyro is run up to a fallen ally – press f – and walk away and keep fighting.

It has a 20 second coldown and is pretty easy to use but it’s range is like 600 so you have to be REALLY close to someone to activate it. Remember that you can perform other task while rezzing an ally.

I havent tried it, but i can imagine you can double rez 2 people simultaneously rez 1 move to another fallen ally and rez another.

It doesn’t tell you when the gyro has been activated but i trust my instinct most of time and also watch the fallne ally’s bar to see it going up.

I love functioning gyro in pvp because people think i am fighting and not stomping, but i actually am about to stomp them. It’s good that it is tiny hehe.

Could we hide it? Or have some kind of skins for it at least? Even just dye channels?
I mean, ok, it is little. But it is essentially an hobosack 2.0, except for being always out.

The thing just gets annoying when it tries to stomp people and it phases through the ground making it impossible to target… >.>
