It’s hard to test right now because Giver’s armor/weapons are all broken and don’t apply the duration bonuses.
Also you are losing a lot of direct power for using giver’s gear. So it’s a fair tradeoff.
well that does complicate testing yeah, but in theory? it should be quite useful for Pistol’s right?

The point is, 20% condition duration does not give u anything: 2 sec bleeding + 20% =2,4 sec, rounded to 2,5 sec. But still 2 ticks of damage. Same with posion and burning. U need 50% or 100% additional condition duration. To reach this values – yes therefor those new weapons are great.
Yeah I see where your coming from, but was thinking, combo that with 10% from 2x Superior rune of Lyssa, and a 10-30% longer from our Explosive trait line, that could end up pretty beast couldn’t it?

Don’t forget 40% from Rare Veggie Pizza. And yes, imo those new weapons are useful – but only to fill up usefull marks like 50% or 100%.
Are we talking pvp/wvw or PvE? As cond’s are so easily removed in PvP coupled with the generally short duration of engi conditions kind of put me off this stat set. Initial impressions for me are that cond dmg/power would be a better choice to do as much dmg as possible before the cond gets ‘knocked off’.
I’m in the WvsW area, where condtion removal in large amount’s ain’t as common as in sPvP, also, all our condtion giving skill have low cooldowns, so we should still be able to stack some stuff up!

Even with condition removal, you should be buffering your conditions, to protect the valuable bleeds/burns, and engies have plenty of ways to do that or re-apply them once they’re cleansed.

This depends ENTIRELY on the duration.
+20% on a 10s poison, poison dart volley for example is 12s duration.
It is adding 2seconds.
Now, PDV is 8s CD, 2s cast, and 10s duration innately… So if you are casting it every time. any +duration is pointless, as its already 100% up time. however, if you are not, that duration matters.
Same applies to burn, and blowtorch. 6s duration, 20% is 1.5s.
Explosive shot base bleed is 2s, so yes, you nee 50% to increase that 1 more second.
Sharpshooter however is 3s. you only need 33%, for 1 more second.
short vs long.
Yes, overly long durations tend to get removed, and its not reasonable to count that applied possible damage as actual damage.
A 15s bleed. Very rare for a 15s cond to stay on target for that long.
4-6s conds is ideal imho. that is the range, where they will last full duration, and we can reasonably count as actual .

So what I get from the general talk is that Giver’s Weapon stat line actually is quite neat for the Pistol engineer’s? Heck even some of our kits will love it tho when (We hope soon) stat’s from weapon gonna affect kit’s to?

Also using a giver’s weapon may not be a good idea, since it won’t effect you if you’re using a kit. I would rather use giver’s armor.
Problem is Giver’s armor only give Boon Duration! :/ so t ain’t the same!

And 1% per piece of armor?! Serious, no.
I think the Runes of Altruism are more interesting for support engis than Giver’s stats.

For those that don’t know the 3rd best veggie pizza will give the same DPS as the best veggie pizza with Dual Pistol builds. Equiping a kit and a person may have to use the next 2 higher teirs.
