Good points of being engineer
Pretty much the same, love the change they made to the trait making flamethrower more feasible too.
Great class and always great fun to play <3
Nice elitist jerk attitude there OP, your awesome. Nothing says it better then a post telling people if the do not chose abilities of your approval that they need to re-roll another class. Or how you are implying that anyone not using kits are playing wrong because they do not use kits.
Two thumbs up on your ability to promote the class well, while at the same time doing it so badly.

Jordan what level are you and what is your setup?
Level 90 and setup = skill + skill kit
Level 90 and setup = skill + skill kit
Level 90 with a game that has a level cap of 80, that is a pretty impressive feat.

Engineers can get to level 90. Shows what you know!
Auto Elixir S doesn’t suck. About the only time I die is when I’m getting stunlock burst to death. Something that trait takes care of nicely.

Yea, as I suspected.
We all love our engineers, but we don’t help them like this.
We help them by constantly reminding Arenanet to fix our issues, and fix our bugs.
You think they will fix kits if everyone is all lovey dovey about the engineer? Have you seen the other forums? They are cesspools of whining, and as they say ‘the squeaky wheel gets the grease’, and they are really squeaky.
Not saying they don’t deserve help but… our issue with kits has kind of existed for months.
I have run the same build since Beta and works a treat for me but I don’t use any kits, just pistol and shield, condition build with slick shoes etc.
I have near perma sprint, loads of CC’s and use net turret also.
Can take on two or 3 people if I concentrate, got jumped by 6 or 7 last night, downed 2 before I was overwhelmed.
I think a well played engineer is always gonna be good in wvw whatever the build really.
a rank 1 guy posts that engineer is amazing in spvp, very nice joke. you know what is amazing? my thief with quickness in spvp, that kills any 20khp and 1,8 toughness build out of stealth in under a second, you are dead before my stealth reappear animation ends thus you dont even see what is hitting you =D

The moment you come onto me like that my explosive trait kicks in. Drops a smoke bomb when stunned. After that I have plenty other possibilities to make you miss. Flamethrower smoke, bomb smoke, dodge, dodge, elixir R to refill endurance and break stun, dodge, dodge. An engi that lets you rip him up like that is either afk or doesn´t know his class all too well.

The moment your explosive trait kicks in I pull out my vorpal greatsword of dragon slaying and dispelling + 5 and chop your head off. My point is everything sounds good on paper. Hybrid classes like Engineer and Elementalist have answers to every situation. On paper a engineer and elementalist will always win. On the field there are so many other factors; reaction time, cooldown, landscape, skill, lag, luck, chuck norris factor, gear, anxiety, coordination, glitches.
Katniss Shade – Necromancer 80 – sPvp rank – 29
Emma Wolfsbane – Thief 80 – Looking for Guild
What I took out of the last few post is that the engineer has the tools and capability.
What is there to argue about if everyone is pointing out that they profession as a whole is capable and had the tools needed? That simply leaves the ability to fail or succeed up to how the user plays his/her/ particular build.

Why I love my engi and in PvP I’m doing pretty well as long as I don’t try to take on a pet class solo, but there are still issues. I keep getting hit with the bugs. Not all the time mind you but when they hit I end up logging for a while. Yes engineers could use some tweeks here and there but the bugs need fixed first and foremost.
edit: fixed my quote so it showed as a quote

I really hope this isn’t the attitude that everyone takes on these forums. sabotaging legitimate discussion just so that you can whine in hopes their class will be buffed.
I disagree, if someone really loves a certain kit, why can’t he or she use that kit exclusively? On the warrior, I absolutely love the hammer, and I almost never switch weapons, because I rarely have to. If I trait for it, the hammer brings enough on its own. Why can’t the engineer kits actually be good enough to operate the same way?

There is no point in this thread, it is not helpful in any way. Just seems like a guy ran around in wvw for a couple of hours in the right build.
And bear in mind those “2-3” guys could be any level from 1 to 80. Even after that, there are people who are simply not that good.
However engineer is really powerful when played properly, i think of writing a guide on my grenadier build, however i dont think ill post in on this forum, probably will go on reddit.
Oh,and Elixir S trait is pretty powerful.
The OP clearly just started sPvP and is enjoying the low skill ceiling in beginner glory queues. Would love to hear his thoughts on Engineer after Deer rank.

i dont know, running around and pooping out bombs is working great for me, only tough challange was 1vs1 with a thief in condition damage,i would get 20k of bleeding damage to the end of the battle….
