The tooltip says 5, but does that mean all 2 (or 3) grenades together can hit 5 targets or does it mean every single grenade can hit 5 people?

i wouldn’t swear an oath on it but from experience i’m somehow sure it’s per grenade.

Yes it’s per grenade. If you throw it into a crowd of people you can’t choose which 5 people each one hits obviously, but due to however the game’s engine chooses targets you’ll probably hit between 10-15 different players.

it really sucks when you zerker and you throw a nades barrage into a zerg and it hit 40 times then take 10k retal damage, but yea each nade can hit 5 times so it’s potentially 10-15 hits per throw, be wise around zergs.
