Grenadier throws straight, not lofted
That’s not how projectiles work, if you want to decrease the flight time, you must throw them at a more shallow angle. You would need to attach small engines onto the grenades so they could change direction in flight.
Or just alter the trajectory algorithm to fly along the same arc, faster. The tooltip doesn’t say, throw them straighter and harder. Says a quantifiable amount faster, does not mention arc alteration

It been quite a few years, but I’m pretty sure that’s not how physics works.
I really would appreciate minor terrain anomalies and blades of grass not causing “obstructed” however.
You don’t understand, engineers are using retrofitted grenades invented by the collaboration of Charr and Asuran scientists that has a tiny anti-gravity mesmeric crystal device attached to the grenades that partially negates gravity and makes the trajectory faster. Next they will invent teleporting bombs, oh wait, they already did. j/k
This is a game with magic, completely unrealistic science, explosions that can heal you, people who can run flat out for hours without tiring, people who (without any advanced technology or magic, aka warriors) can take down giants, dragons, and other massively overpowering enemies singlehandedly (when those enemies could literally just lay down and roll all over the ground and squash every single player dead), and about a hundred other science-breaking mechanics. Don’t pull that “this is more realistic” crap on something as small as this when there are so many bigger issues at hand.
I am totally for trying to make games as realistic as possible (within the bounds of keeping them interesting and fun), but gameplay mechanics should always have a higher priority than realism.
Grenadier is an example of when ANet should bend the rules on physics and make the gameplay more balanced instead of making it more realistic.

shall we speak then of “magnet” of toolkit? when sometimes you get “obstructed” and there is a bunch of grass on the road??? or when it pulls behind you (and of course you are standing still – not moving forward to your enemy)? or when it interrupts only the enemy (not having stability of course) and move it of 1 meter? wasting a skill?
a Fissure Of Woe player that has no home.
Realistic…. sorry, I threw that out the window when my little alien with huge ears started shooting a flamethrower at my lion/mouse/Chinese dragon man holding a chainsaw for a greatsword…. it’s a game. Make the nades loftable. As an engi who successfully does not play grenades outside of some pve, even I see being able to throw them over thing as a viable use. We carry flash bangs but have to be within melee range to use properly, THAT is not realistic.
