IT’S FINALLY HERE, the new engineer burst build. The build I promised the guys that liked my Dodgemaster (or Evasioneer, which is a way cooler name btw). The video is 17mins long so there’s lots of explaining and talking but if you’re like “too long, can’t be bothered to listen”, just skip to 12.49 in the video and if you find yourself asking “How the hell did he pull all that off in the same second” just come back and watch the video from the beginning. There’s definitely some nice tidbits in there about the uses of Kit Refinement in this build so watching the full vid is definitely rewarding.

Just to clarify, I haven’t seen any 13k crits from Big Ol Bomb. It’s probably one of those 1 in a million type things that requires your target to also be quite squishy and for you to have some level of might stacking (which I don’t focus on in the build). So far, my highest has been 7k on a squishy mesmer, so in WvW it will probably be higher.

This is similar to my new build, well a build I’m trying with varying success

, I use kr instead of speedy kits and nades instead of toolkit… My combo is throw ex s, bob, switch to bomb kit to trigger kr, plant 2 normal bombs, then grenade barrage as they are sucked in… I haven’t though of jump shot so thanks for that

Lots of cons to the build and it’s no where near as good a hgh condi, but i like to deal max pain and it’s alot of fun so stuff it
Also my character name is captain bomber so I’m kinda obliged to use this kinda build lol

Probably is just a kitten build. But whatever. One day I may find a good one.

However… I have two big questions:

1) I should be able to dish out something like 14-17 stacks of might in combat. Do you think they would make up a bit for the loss of precision?

2) Do you think stealth is necessary to set up the burst?

1) Crit definitely allows you to add quite a bit of damage to your build. Without it you can hit hard but not as hard as you would if you had some form of crit.

2) Stealth isn’t necessary. In fact, all you need to do is run in, drop BoB and immob the target right after. Whilst they are immobed you can then hit them with Blunderbuss and Jumpshot.

I used to have a variant of 100nade using Bombkit to replace Elixir S. And I was using the combo you are using in the video.

Tho I would use the 100nade combo over the jump shot combo.

Lol, thanks. I’ll definitely try to do more but good builds are hard to come by these days heh.

Thank you for posting this build. I’ve been using it in WvW with great success. Hardly ever lose a 1v1 match, and if i’ve bit off more than i can chew, bomb kit and elixir S give me alot of escape options. I haven’t managed to get any 13k crits either but i’ll let you know if i do lolz
