…of Gadgets.
Hey guys, it’s that time of the week again where I post a new build and you guys give me your opinions on how good or bad they are. This week I take on the all gadget build and make quite a few synergies that would work well in, not just this build, but in other non-gadget related builds. Take a look at the vid above, check out the build below, try out the build yourself and tell me your thoughts.

As usual, you have some great ideas and are able to execute them well. This build looks tricky to master, but very effective if one can manage it.
I’m currently addicted to Slick Shoes + Rocket Boots. It’s hard to give them up but I need to run at least one kit and Elixir Gun is usually it.
Thanks. Yea it definitely took some time to run this build at peak efficiency (even now I still flop) but it is a really fun build and the amount of CC it has + Rocket boots had me full of giggles the first few times I played it.
Why cleansing formula 409? You’re not using any elixirs besides that minor trait so that’s pretty much a waste. You’re better off taking protection injection.
The Alchemy traits Hidden Flask and Self-regulating Defenses trigger Forumla 409 as if you used an elixir normally.

If you want to take protection injection, that’s totally up to you. I find I can deal with direct damage just fine with well timed dodges and CC. The thing I can’t deal with easily is condis and like Grackle said above me, Hidden Flask and SRD proc 409.

This is something more people ought to know about.

This was new to me. Thanks!
Interesting. I always wanted to try out an all gadget build. I will definitely give this a go. Thanks!

Also syncs well with Automated Response, rendering you invulnerable and immune to conditions after clearing some of them. It is a nice way to stop a necro from demolishing you at least once in a fight.
Edit: Clarity – 409 doesn’t clear all conditions, but 1 per elixir.

Something to consider when creating a build is pushing your health pool as high as possible. This way all of the 25% health triggers go off around 7K health, which for some profession builds is more like 50% of their health. 7.2K is as high as you can get it in sPvP, but I’m sure the stat inflation in PVE/WvW would allow for an even higher threshold.
Reserve Mines (not great but included to be complete)
Release a number of mines when your health is below 25%.
Low Health Response System
Gain regeneration for 10 seconds when you are attacked while under 25% health.
Automated Medical Response
All heal skills recharge when health reaches 25% (90 second cooldown).
Self-Regulating Defenses
Drink an Elixir S at 25% health. This effect cannot trigger more than once every 90 seconds.
Automated Response
Condition duration is reduced by 100% when health is below 25%.
Inertial Converter
When health reaches 25%, your tool belt skills recharge.
Before Elixir S’s effect got nerfed hitting 25% health was like a fight reset. Sadly it’s been reduced to “that time when I run around and nom some bandages.”
Just came back to the game after a few months and this was the first new build I tried. It’s wicked fun and surprisingly survivable. Thanks a bunch!

Haha! We shall!

Glad you like it.
I tried this for a few hours today and it was really fun. It is great for messing around and stalling the enemy off of nodes or 1v1 against anyone who doesn’t have allot of stability or cc cancelling effects. I normally run a bit of a node defender/bunker build but this was a nice diversion for a bit.
Thank you for the write-up and video link. I subscribed to you and look forward to what else you put out there.
