Gyros in WvW
Only 1 I see is bulk, form some small damage reduction and toolbelt reflection. It’s the only I would ever take ina zerg
Wat r u, casul?
blast gyro could still work aswell if you use it on targets that are in melee range so the gyro doesn’t have to move a big distance. The AoE superspeed is reasonable i guess…
Not every utility skill/trait is meant to be used in any gamemode man…
The only gyros that will find their way into WvW are the bulwrak and sneak. And both only for their toolbelt.

wich is the worst concept to adopt…. it looks slacking to avoid spend time working on balance.
All skills should be usable in all modes, effectivess would deppend on role pretended, and not get tied to 1 or 2 builds to X mode.
Gyros might work but players can go into the midle of the blob or will need to cast gyros when combat spreads the other team if thats the case.

A better explanation is: Not every tool is right for the job at hand. Not all gyros are ideal for frontline use. That doesn’t make them useless in WvW per sé. The Blast Gyro might be ideal to disrupt the backline, while the shredder gyro might be a nice touch to pressurize the flanks. Both the medic and the purger gyro have their uses for support while the bullwark is a flat out damage reducer. The sneak gyro might help if the engineer wants to set up a bait for flanking.
As always, engineer is about clever use of the tools at your disposal. Not mindless zerging. For that, you have the hammer and the kits.

please explane me how the shredder gyro can make pressure on a moveing zerg flank…..
please….be serious
Simply: Not just by itself.

Gyros may find some use in 1vs1, but they are completely useless in WvW for any encounters of group size or above. Some might be used for their toolbelt skills, but the gyros themselves will just be destroyed by aoe/cleave before they can accomplish anything.
And shredder gyro pressurizing the flanks? With those fearsome projectile finishers? Really?
As it stands now there is only one type of gyro, that’s useful for WvW. And only if you’re hungry.

If theres 1 class that can make that it should not exist… it is a team work.
(little bit offtopic)
I know some classes have to much compared with the effort for the expected result(Anet is awfull at balance and that is the reason gyros and SW fall back, they increase damage for sure on AA in expect to please scrapper players since they cant use gyros, players love cheap high AA for sure), but gyros are mostly small scale combat and PVE, at least they look in better shape or careness from dev’s, more than SW always had… so players that want to use scapper cannot go to the midle of the fight in expect to use them, that is the same of a guardian with SoJ and HoW (SW melee weapons that are even bad at small scale combat).
With this, a scrapper with gyros should be supporting the team that is flanking, problem is the lack of functionality from ditto utilities Anet could make them more controllable but they instead of making a smart game, they are dumbing it down, thus alot of stuff will fall back besides pve.
the sneak gyro sounds like unbelievable bullkitten… 30s of stealth for an unlimited number of people… gee where have i seen something similar? oh right the EB mass stealth fountain!
WvW is gonna be gross, PVE skipping will be a huge joke… wow wtf were they thinking with this.

How do you skip anything with Gyro being visible at all times and pulling aggro…

First off… did you even use stealth gyro during the beta? its not like it just poofs up 30s of invis for everyone around you. second, where does it say it’s for unlimited amount of people?….. pretty sure it’s only 5 people. Even if it is unlimited the gyro itself wont ever be cloaked since it has perma reveal, so it would be the same as someone with a mini out after the zerg veiled. idk if you knew this, but those people get yelled at constantly because it gives the enemy zerg something to target.
I remember WOW had the same problem 100 years ago;) Pets dies left, right and centre….they fixed it…i dont think it was hard either…I would have Anet call blizzard to see how they do it;)
