HGH conditions is the new apex predator
Ya I’m pretty worried too, but Tbh every profession got the condition duration buff through the fixing of Giver’s weapons. They just need to bring everything up.

Atleast they would give me a reason to delete my main without remorse, if they remove the only viable build we have left I could use the extra character slot.
My Guardian and Mesmer are pretty strong and if they nerf this I’m going to probably going to delete the character so I don’t come back to it.

Why? There’s absolutely no reason to. There is -duartion food and -duration runes. Both give better gain than whatever their “+” counterparts.
2seconds + 100% = 4seconds
4 seconds -50% = 2seconds
easier to get 50% shorter conditions than +100% conditions too.

HGH stands for Human Growth Horomone, it’s a trait in the alchemy tree line. Basically just revolve your condition build around it.

Sigil of Geomancy vs. Sigil of Battle is also a point of contention that many argue over. There are great arguments for both sides of that discussion I think. Battle is better if you have to swap at a range, and Geomancy is better if you can hit them with the proc. Geomancy requires swaps at close range though, which can obviously be limiting.

My theory on how devs approach engie balance:
They have data and statistics on how frequently certain traits are equipped, or utilities or weapons or whatever. They see something is extremely popular (relative to the class anyway) like kit refinement. They see extremely unpopular features like turrets.
Generic buffs to the unpopular features, and nerfs to the popular ones, with the idea that ~average use of everything in a class means the class is balanced.
If something gets to be overwhelmingly popular, it is going to be nerfed. This was most recently kit refinement in particular (not just for 100 nades but also PvE in general). I would say HGH looks to be a pretty good candidate as engies adjust their builds post-KR.
At least I can speak for myself, that I have dropped KR since the first time they broke it and moved to HGH.

Nah HGH won’t be nerfed.. this is what all engineers should be playing.
this has the RGN, mid range figher survival and doesn’t kill too fast, this is what Anet invasions Engineers to be, average ( not saying the is bad, the build is awesome but simply doesnt have anything that “shines” )

I agree, and it’s actually even easier than that.
2 second bleed + 100% condition duration = 4 tics.
4 second bleed – 25% condition duration = 3 tics.
4 second bleed -26% condition duration = 2 tics. (there may be a rounding effect I’m not aware of. In general, my understanding is that any bleed under 3 seconds will not tic the third time.)
In other words, just eating the food for -40% condition duration on you could reduce condition damage by 50% or more. For example, take 40% off of a 3 second bleed and you have a bleed that tics once. I choose to use the + condition duration, but if this works the way I understand it, -condition duration is a much stronger buff in general.
