Hammers for engineers

shooting bolts in is much faster than hammering them in.. But I agree engineers should have hammers to go with their wrenches kit. for a completely melee engi.

This would be the greatest thing ever. Also make legendaries account bound so I can take my soon-to-be Juggernaut from my warrior and let my Engineer have a whack at it!
Well I don’t think maces fit the engineer and I don’t think they should make a brand new hammer weapon just for us. 2h Hammer would sort of work I guess.
I think they should take the wrench #1 out of the toolkit and replace it with 2 hammers. Something like a Ball-Peen Hammer in off hand and a Mallet in main hand, then make the “smack twack wack (or w/e)” attack faster to better suit it.

Be really nice to have a 1h power alternative to pistol. Need something to pair with a shield, as it offers nothing condition wise.
Currently the only thing a pistol has for a tank-y control build is the blind and, to a lesser extent, the confuse.
Even rifles can do bleeds and burns (when traited). Pistol’s benefit from power is laughable.

One of the mace skins even is a wrench (fixer upper), proof given in my opinion.
Anyway I think new weapons for engi’s would be fun, since a true engineer always uses a weapon inunorthodox ways.
I dunno about hammers or maces (I like Toolkit 4 and 5 too much to ditch them in favor of a mace with just the first 3 skills), but I do think we should get another kit in which the equipped weapon is a giant, 2-handed pipe wrench, or maybe a Wile E. Coyote-style 2 handed mallet.

Yes why the hell would we have a box of nails and not have a hammer???
I’m guessing the very first Engineer tried to hammer them with his prybar and hit himself in the face and got confused.
mace, main hand only
1, regular side to side swing attack
2, holds the mace out to block a melee attack, if it blocks or an enemy collides with the engineer a lightning bolt comes out and shocks them.
3, swing the mace and the head comes off. Surprise! the head of the mace is a flash bang grenade

I’d argue its the otherway around. Everything we do is designed for melee and close range combat because thats where it excells. Rifle, Pistols, every single kit.
Absolutely would love this. It would make things so much easier then using a kit for melee.
