I play Sword/Dagger thief (http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fZAQRAsY6Yl0MpyplOx3J8PNBNBt9wbQE0KAdfki0EA-TZBEwAGOJAAOCAZLDQ4BA8b/BA)

And was wondering how do I beat pure condition, pure burst, or turret bunker. Pure condition just kites me to death and I can’t drop any of the conditions I need/want to without popping half my Utils. Pure burst has much higher damage than I do (not as much mobility so I have mastered running for my life). Turret bunker…well…. no idea how to win that one.

Thanks in advance.

Worst Thief in the world, yes I am.

welp, you can’t win against a turreteer on thief.
at least never met one that were able to.
As soon as a turreteer smells a thief he drops the supply-crate which contains a net turret, that will insta immob you whenever you destealth which does disable you from dodging / evading. adding the incomming dmg from all the other turrets on the field, suddenly pointing at you and the engineer himself responding to your presence is a definite death-sentence.
The problem with turreteers is that they go full on tank (turrets are doing the actual dps in these builds) so even the highest burst you can put out will not bring them into downstate, and therefore exposing you to all the AI hate.
Also you can not get rid of his turrets since they heal up too fast for the little dmg you can do on them from afar. So yea, as it is currently, turreteers are thief-proven. Ofc you always can be lucky and meet a kitten that settles down and stays on a point. Their turrets will automatically detonate after 5min, so set up your ambush when his rocket-turret goes boom and on a 50sec cd, or let a friendly ele clear it…

about burst and condi engis:
Welp, we do have stunbreakers, but almost no stability, so your best shot is to spam a couple of minor cc’s and use basilisk poison once the engi used the precious stunbreaker that he surely posses. We have a passive trait that will proc protection every 5sec for 3sec when being stunned, so you even can work around that one with a initial cc, followed up by your well timed burst. Welp, there is another passive trait that would reduce the incoming dmg ALWAYS by 20% while being stunned, but not many engis run it, and especially not the bursty ones.
So yea, chain cc and blind-spam is your best shot on these two… unless the stunbreaker in question is goggles… they make us immune to blind for 10sec, so you rather wouldn’t throw smokey stuff around during this buff being active^^

EDIT:
there is one workaround for the rocket-turret.
A somewhat skilled turreteer will always drop it off point so melee classes are forced to leave the point in order to clear it. But since the thief is highly mobile you can stealth, run towards the rocket turret, stay in its oppsite pointing direction and start to burst it. Once you destealth it will try to turn towards you in order to fire, but it turns that slowly that you actually can outrun it in a close circle and completely avoiding it to fire a single shot, while also spaming your attacks on it. Might not work if other turrets are droped nearby, or if you alone and the engi has a supply-crate ready to be dropped, but if you are lucky and fast enough you can rip more than a half of the actual dps the turreteer posses for 50sec and go for bursting him afterwards.
One warning on this method, tho: Our turrets are most likely traited for healing up automatically so if you do not finish the job instantly, coming back a couple of seconds later will most likely null your effort and cd’s.

Autoattack the turrets with shortbow.
Engineer has 0 stability and at most 1 stunbreak but just accept there are hard counters and play terror necro. Or any necro.
