Healing bombs coming back?
Unless there have been offical words that I’ve not seen, then no. We havn’t heard anything about the future of engineers since before the spec patch.
I know I stopped playing my engineer post patch due to the loss of healing bombs… It completely ruined my build. I used the Healing Bombs trait with the 10% healing power to power conversion… This allowed me to support my teammates and to do decent damage… It is not like we are standing at 1500 range, we are at 0 range doing this…

I don’t see the elite spec having more support in any form… We have TONS of support potential with 2 of our traitlines.
Someone must have not got the memo that healing bombs were very pro. The so called support from traitlines falls short. Explain this “support” and I may be inclined to believe it. If I cannot use full ascended cleric’s accessories and armor to beat ONE person on the WvW map cause of it’s currently low damage, I can tell you straight up there is a problem with the traitline.
Yea, please, that healing GM in inventions wouldn’t be missed if it were replaced by heal bombs.

Yeah, one thing I liked was dropping bombs when I moves my force in a back peddle. We will lay marks, wells, boon strip fields, and what not as we back peddled to bait the enemy into them. I could spam bombs, doing both damage and support. Now, with bunker down, you absolutely have to be moving forward to get then heal, and now only one person can get the heal. So now I heal no one, if I am using bunker down, and I do what, 1/4 the bomb auto attack damage?

Elementalist get to do it without a trait just be spamming auto attack with staff when in water attunement.
As well, you appear to be a little confused about how it functioned. It was not a trait that was relative to your group. It was AoE, not group restrictive.

Not only does elementalist spam a healing and attack at the same time for auto attack, their auto attack with BARE MINIMUM points in Healing power healed more than healing bombs near max healing power. So I don’t think people should be finding fault with healing bombs. They were still the most awesome thing for survivability for the engineer.

Not like its ranged, barely qualifies as an autoattack because you still need to look where you are placing it…
