Guild Wars 2

So I’m using Koroshi’s confusion all the way build (bomb WvW version) and just got fully geared for it. Holy crap man. Engi is the hardest to accomplish anything by LONG shot. I’ve played Mesmer and roflstomped 1v3-6 and 1v2 + supply camp but for the life of me, I can’t get my engi to get anything done. My Guardian is my PvE character because… Well… Yeah. But please help me… What are you guys doing to be on par with anybody? I actually died soloing a supply camp….

You should be able to solo a camp fine if you reach your maximum skill level. Engineer is the type of class that can do everything, but requires usually 2-3 times the APM (actions per minute) required to do said things. It is considered by a lot to be the hardest class in the game for a reason.

There is no way to argue against it. Period.

I recall hearing early on from Anet that Mesmers & Necros would be the hardest classes. I can’t comment on Mesmers as I haven’t made one yet, but I have played a Necro & it seems to be significantly more difficult to play Engineer (but a lot more fun too).

Mes is a cakewalk… able to spam stealth and a stupid number of escapes while your phants do damage for you.

Guild Wars 1 Mesmers were the tricky ones. In GW2, Mesmers have a lot more direct damage (used to rely on indirect damage and shutdown). Meanwhile, Engis… well, I’m just starting out so I’ll reserve comment.

Indeed its A LOT harder to play engineer than it is to play necro or anything else in this game tbh. When im on my old necro main i literally steamroll kids with little to no effort. Engineer actually makes you work for you kills.
