Even with Speedy Gadgets, I’m not convinced on the A.E.D. If you factor in the regen and overcharge/blast, Healing Turret does 392 healing per second used off cooldown with your 200 healing power, where-as A.E.D does a mere 2.5 more healing per second (394.5). Factor in the average of 1 condition removed every 10 seconds (3 in the space of the A.E.D.‘s cooldown) from the healing turret, the potential to combo the water field for extra heals, the more consistent/reliable healing, with a better cast-time, I’m really not seeing the reason to run A.E.D. at all. The toolbelt skill doesn’t really add anything to the equation either (I’d always rather have Regenerating Mist).
That 30 in tools also gets you 15 seconds on the bandage self heal from medkit… a very tasty thing to simply ignore. I just haven’t found a way to fit A.E.D. nicely into a build yet, not while the other skills fit well into certain situations. I tried swapping it onto my SD burst build, but the low cooldown on bandage self was just too good to pass up.
If you’re planning on using static shot as a follow up to magnet (might have misread what you wrote), here’s the issue with it: It has a 3/4 sec cast time and an approximate 1/2 sec after case delay, meaning you’re effectively using up 1.25 seconds of your own time to disable an opponent for 1 second. The aftercast delay also means you only have about a 1/2 second to actually do anything to them. Instead, you might as well just go for a prybar → overcharged shot combo (like an SD burst build would use), which keeps them CC’ed, does nice damage, and saves your static shock for later. I think one of the best ways you could use static shock in this build would be to use it to combo directly into overcharged shot or net shot (the short stun can help guarantee that it lands), but I don’t think using it as a follow up to magnet is a good idea.
As far as slick shoes go, it can be useful in WvW, but I think it’s a lot more situational than it will be compared to an sPvP setting. Dumping it on a zerg that has their stabilities up will be useless, and you’ll easily kill yourself if you decide to charge at a hammer train. However, It can be a very useful thing to cover a retreat, especially through chokepoints. You can also possibly use it for trapping targets that move out of position, leaving them open for focused fire. Super speed is also a very nice escape tool (especially with gear shield), but you can still get stunned and such with it so it’s not a silver bullet. As an alternative, you could try using elixir S (the stealth is very helpful in addition to the mini form), or possibly elixir gun.
Personally, I’d probably swap to medkit or healing turret with this build and exchange speedy gadgets for speedy kits. On demand perma swiftness is incredibly useful, and the cooldown on rocket boots is already fairly low.
Here’s what im at now. Trading 200 toughness and some CC for more crit chance, and accelerant-packed turrets. Now if im reading this right, that makes your turret detonate do a ton of Dmg. Almost 2k on a non crit, and it knocksback.
Looks a lot more like your traditional SD build. But my thing with SD is it only shows up as 335 dmg and bouncing twice. Does it bounce to the same target? Is the tooltip just bugged for some reason? Thats why i opted for speedy kits and power wrench (plus power wrench is just awesome).
Another question i have is with the heals. Medkit has a 15sec heal, that recharges at 25% thanks to 15 tools, and 50% uptime on fury from the #5. But idk if im getting enough use out of accel packed turrets with just rifle turret. Plus drop HT, detonate, rocket boots is a really awesome escape/heal.
maybe try this?

you don’t have a stunbreak or protection injection meaning you’re super weak to cc. with 20 in alchemy you get vigor, transmute, extra fury, and protection injection which is one of the best defensive traits in the game. transmute is good because let’s say a warrior leads off with pin down. the immobilize gets turned into swiftness (and possibly vigor) and their combo is set back. it’s unreliable condition removal but when it works it’s beautiful. slick shoes provides a stunbreak and can set up a jump shot which is your strongest attack. a combo could be something like magnet > pry bar > overcharged shot > net shot > throw wrench > slick shoes > blunderbuss > jump shot. healing turret is good because it’s a low cast time, strong heal that provides a water field that you can combo with rocket boots or jump shot for more heals.

My hammer warrior esque build, it’s up on Wolfineer’s engineer guide on the gw2 reddit wiki and eventually I will make a video for it. If you don’t mind losing the extra healing from celestials, you can min/max it to milk about +10% crit damage. It also works with Rifle, it’s a bit less forgiving since you won’t have the extra blast finisher and block, but Jump Shot is a nice opener / leap, kinda like Earthshaker.
If you are feeling ballsy and if you trust your Guardian’s capacity to hit stability on the right moments, swap Elixir B for Slick Shoes.
Jump Shot (if you got it) → Mine Field (25 ppl boon strip) → Supply Crate

How do you dmg people?
Last night I fought a power engineer on wvw. He invited me to party and explained a little bit of his build. Traits: 30/0/10/20/10. Gear: PVT. The result: I couldn’t take 40% of his HP and his hits hurt me a lot. In 5 duels, I lost all (I was dueling with my warrior). I tried all my builds: full tank, full DPS and hybrid.. I don’t know this build, but maybe you can search for this one, it’s very solid.

Hi, he used grenades. Equip: PVT (soldier). More than 24k hp and 2,5k power (2,7k with bloodlust).
Indeed, I fought 2 engineers (they’re are friends), one power (I mentioned this before) and one condition. The full dire condition was easiest to fight, because a lot of people (me too) are running melandru, -cond duration foods and cond remover skills or traits. So, I don’t having much trouble fighting conditions builds atm.

Bomb Auto crits for 1.6k-1.7k on a heavy, Rifle 5 if I’m using it crits for 1.5k the initial hit and 3-4k the landing on the same heavy and Throw Mine tool belt. I only use poison dart volley / overcharged shot if we are bombing a particular place to finish a downed person. If I could I’d trait for Explosive Powder and Energy Conversion Matrix, but I don’t see a way to do it without reducing survivability to a sub par state. Medium class problems. It does synergizes really well with the current hammer/disable spam meta and I have some good experiences with it both while driving and with guild/pug groups.

I was mostly commenting on the fact you only have 1700 power, which is prettty poor for a power build

I wrote a big detailed explanation for this but there was a blackout before I could post it, so forgive me if I it’s too short, but the point is bringing enough utility via a potential 25 people boon strip, high aoe heals from blasting fields and enough protection/counters to the current meta in order to justify bringing an engineer to a 20 people raid. If you don’t care about the added healing power, you can probably milk 200-300 power by min/maxing the armor pieces.
