Here is a my build - A power focused build :)
I know that bombs are bugged but i still love them to much to give them up. (cross fingers they get the fix they need)
And turrets might not be the best for pve, but rifle turret has a short cooldown anyway so it’s not to bad.Rune options:
Rune of strength
Rune of the pack
Rune of the ogre (cheaper option)
Rune of the Flame Legion (cheaper option)Sigil option:
Sigil of Fire/Air
Sigil of Battle/Strength
Sigil of Force/Night
Sigil of Accuracy
Sigil of BloodlustI use Rune of the ogre with Sigil of Accuracy + Night (i tend to run alot of dungeons)
Food buff you can use anything that fits your taste (The pun !!)
i use condition duration and a dungeon specific +damage potion
I am unsure about any bomb bugs that actually affect their viability, as far as I know it’s just graphical.
The rifle turret is not bad for the fury uptime, as long as you keep it alive during fights it’s a good choice for group buffing if you are avoiding blast fields.
Flame legion is the best rune choice as long as you have a constant source of burning, with bomb kit and working with another guard/engi/ele you should have constant burning uptime to always give you the 6th bonus. Strength is only more useful if you are constantly putting flame blast into fire fields/blasting might consistently for your group.
You may want to include a stat set for your links, without precision as a secondary stat fire/air sigils are probably weaker than accuracy/force/night, likewise strength needs crits. Frailty is a good choice for group play if you aren’t running precision as a major/minor stat on your armour(night sigils are better though).
Without the high vuln stacking grenade kit gives, it may be better to run power/prec food instead of condi duration. Dungeon potions, 11/10 would recommend, 10% potion cost 1 token and get you through a full dungeon set, or you can get the weaker ones for a very cheap cost from the tp.
Hi there o/ my name is Floredel in gw2
I play an engineer on Gunner’s Hold, mainly as pve and wvw, and wanted to post my pve build for those who want a build that is focused around power.
Couple of things here. The links you provided are generated for pvp, which makes a drastic difference for determining what people actually use in PvE/WvW settings. I am working under the assumption that you intend others to use these concepts in full Berserk regalia. As you have not provided enough information to specify what these builds are intended for, I will at least try to offer some advice.
As you have not provided enough information to specify what these builds are intended for, I will at least try to offer some advice. Some constructive feedback on the first build, which I assume (or hope) is your general PvE setup as none of this is optimal for dungeons and poses a potential threat to current/expected dungeoneering tactics for a variety of reasons.
1- Turrets are bad in dungeons/PvE (many argue overall) and experimental turrets does not fix this.
2- In general, Experimental Turrets is not worth taking at this point in time, as there are more effective methods of applying the boons each of these turrets will without the requirement of remaining active.
3- Explosive Descent is something that is unnecessary in almost of every aspect of the game with the exception being select Jumping Puzzles and some rather large cliff sides in WvW.
4- Shrapnel is effectively useless with Bombs, the attacks per second is not worth the effects proc’d. Even with fully stacked might, the potential dps from Shrapnel is lack luster with bombs.
Here is a other build with flamethrower:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vdAQFAUlUUhSuYjXwWLw6FL3F14VciJR4EGQZGYDGhBAA-TJBBwAAeAA12focZgAXAAA
Again, as you have provided no information as to what the intended purpose of either build is actually generated for, it makes it hard to provide feedback. However, the second build is something that is closest to being an acceptable party friendly build for dungeons.
1- Juggernaut is generally not needed for dungeons, so would use Modified Ammunition instead if that’s where this build is heading.
2- Inventions is effectively killing your dps here for dungeons, would suggest explosions instead for dps increases and a return to bombs by dropping PBR, as the cool down is insane for something BoB can perform better and with a combo blast.
3- Takedown Round is pretty useless in general for this build. What you have is a burst oriented trait that is being applied to a burst-less build.
With all the other classes able to stack might for the group
This statement tells me that you need to watch/practice engineer might stacking rotations.
i wanted to make a build who uses that small fury buff with the Rifle turret to prove some extra damage for the group and still be able to do some okay/great damage as an engineer.
Again, you have provided another example of something that can be achieved through other effects as Fury through Experimental Turrets provides 50% uptime which is easily replicated through use of Runes of the Pack and does not waste an entire trait line to achieve.
General Build Ideas
I get that you are having fun with the class and in no way intend for the feedback provided to be discouraging, but rather an eye opener into the fact that these builds are undefined with scattered themes. I will provide a couple builds below that will likely help with better defining what it is you want to achieve with your engineer.
DPS Bombs (Dungeon)-
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vdAQFAUlUUhatYfWwkLQ7FLbG04DKQAALeyj43t3dvB-TxRBABXp8DPdAEt/gGXAAAeAAUq+jZKBBA-e
Practice your might stacking rotations, as there is no reason to wait on other players to give you might when you can easily apply 18 stacks (1 rotation) solo while providing generous damage in the process. Traiting Short Fuse will allow you to more effectively generate SR levels of stealth.
General PvE/Roaming
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vdAQFAUlUUh6rYtWwdLQ+FL3FV4EGQZGYDGhBg4B9D5AA-TxRBABXp8DPdAEt/gGXAAAeAAUq+jZKBBA-e
When roaming it is not realistic to stack might in the manner listed above, seeing as creatures/players constantly move get knocked about. Therefore, it is more productive to passively apply might to yourself through basic defensive rotations and constantly applying counter pressure through increasingly offensive rotations/combos.
