Holo Dragon Wings = no love for the Engineer
It IS sad that the majority if not all of the Living Story series offer a backpiece as rewards which automatically makes them useless for engis. We have the hobo sack and that’s it.
I really want it to dress up as a dragon for fun. You know dragon helm, dragon wings and a flamethrower but then it was like.. nope! no wings for you! :/

The hobo sack is a great way of putting it.
I will say this- a month or two ago Colin Johnson posted saying that he was aware of the backpiece issue with Engineers and that, while it isn’t a huge priority, it is now on their radar and something they will look into fixing.
I really REALLY hope part of that solution involves letting us hide the hobosacks. I really, really do.
I haven’t actually asked a fellow engineer to show me yet, nor have I used my own wings yet, so to clarify: The new holographic wings do not overlap/overlay the kit backpacks?
Every other back slot item that’s big enough to show through the kit (or has particles/special effects to do so) overlaps the kits for my engineer. I can see the Mad King book’s flame effect through my hobosack, my sclerite tentacles, for example.
I figured the holo wings would just haphazardly out of the kit pack, like everything else… This isn’t the case?
For the toast!

>Why can’t they over lay the kits? (or for that matter under lay, like my Char backpack. Who’s tail I can see under the kit and is something that makes me laugh.)
that requires coding beyond the capabilities of the monkies they hired at anet. Just look at how many skills are still broken, its so bad they have to use vague tooltips to cover up the fact. I dont think letting engineers have wings should be a priority

Bama is right, you do so up after some time. They take a bit of time, but they just pop out after a bit. So, soon as you switch out your kit to a different your back in the waiting game again for them to show up again.
Maybe the Anet heard our cries. (lol, it even funnier when I type it out)
