What exactly does this upcoming elite spec do? Does it have phantasms? Signets?

Maybe but they said it is coming out this year, the expansion. With that short a time frame, and WP stating this show will be about 10 minutes, I feel like they will give us the elite specs and what they will be in terms of functionality

I doubt it. They can build up a lot of hype revealing each elite spec week after week, like they did with HoT. Beside, I’d rather get a big, detailed blogpost about Holosmith alone, not just something like “Sooo, engineer is getting holosmith, it will be doing this and that. Goodbye.”

I doubt the August 1st stream will go into details. They will show us a trailer and gameplay footage to reveal the mounts and some sneak-peaks of the elite specs, then they will discuss about the general details of the expansion, talk to a couple of devs then announce the pre-order/pre-purchase.

They have 3 months before the expansion, they need to keep interest up and the elite spec reveal streams were very popular, so that’s what they are going to do.

Hoping it will be WvW and PvE focused spec.

if the announcement is going to be about 10 mins, then you shouldn’t expect anything but the release date, how to preorder if anet is doing that, the area we are going to, and maybe a couple of the more major features. as in, announcing “another round of elite specs” and not anything more in depth than that.

We already have the tools to be a healer, but they have never bothered to buff them at all… while i would be kinda kittened thay they held these buffs until the expansion only for the new spec, i guess it would be also a nice thing to finally get.

But it’s not the duration, why would anyone ever think they would reveal everything in their very first stream?

I wouldn’t mind the spec being support focused like others have said, but also there is really no need for that to happen when the Engineer core class has EXTREMELY good potential if they put the buffs in the right places.

Med Kit [The only set of skills designed for the SOLE PURPOSE of healing others besides Ventari Rev/Druid (though loosely because you can’t camp in Avatar), which are both the newest additions to the game from last expack] needs some buffing. Like I agreed in another thread make the 2-5 AoE’s around the engineer and maybe make the 1 skill cone wider.

Even if this spec isn’t very supporty at all I will probably still adapt it to my current support/heal build especially if the mainhand weapon is power and has better utility than pistol (which you could throw kitten at a wall and get it to stick on better utility than mainhand pistol currently has)
